Farmers who were saying that their
crops were completly ruined, two weeks
ago, are now talking thirty bushel crops.

passed through our town Monday en

W. A. Graham and wife, of Arling
ton, are now residents of Lexington
and are occupying rooms in the
Doherty building.
Mrs. S. J. Boothby and . grand
daughter, Gertrude Beymer returned
from Mjssouri Tuesday after six weeks
visit with relatives.

The ladies of the Congregational
church will serve ice cream and
cake In the church parlors on election
day. Don't forget it.

ical treatment. Mr. Turner had been
an invalid for a number of years, yet
he was able to be around town until
about two weeks before his death. He
was born in the state of New York 7 1
years ago last January and came to
the coast country when a young man.
He leaves three half brothers, Geo. W,
and Jesse, of Portland, and Fred, of
South Dakota, also two half sisters
Mrs. Geo. McKee, of this county, and
and Mrs. Carrie Jenson, of South Da
kota. Mr. Turner while not a mem
ber of any church, had the reputation
of always being honest and fair in all
his dealings and was respected by all
who knew him as an upright and hon
orable man. Funeral services were
held in the Methodist church last Fri
day afternoon at 1 o'clock. ,
