SCHOOL NOTES
The recital Friday evening was very
successful. A large crowd was in at
tendance and all seemed well pleased
with the program. The music by
Mrs. Thomas' pupils was excellent,
considering the fact that those who
took part in that work were mostly
those who had had very little experi
ence in that line. This music devel
opment shows a step in the right di-
rection and the interest and enthusi- j
asm created by tVrs. Thomas in the '
work is certainly a good thing for Lex- j
ington. The programme was well j
rendered and very complete, each one
rendering their parts perfect.
The field meet held on Saturday af
ternoon was quite interesting for those
who like that line of work. In some
events the boys did quite well. Fol
lowing are the events and results:

Grip Quickly Knocked Out. '
"Some weeks ago during the severe
winter weather both my wife and my
self contracted severe colds which
speedily developed into the worst kind
of la grippe with all its miserable symp
toms," says Mr. J. S. Egleston.of Ma
ple Landing, Iowa. "Knees and joints
aching, muscles sore, head stopped up,
eyes and nose running, with alternate
spells of chills and feVer. We began
using Chamberlain's Cough Remedy,
aiding the same with a double dose of
Chamberlain's Stomach and Liver
Tablets, and by its liberal use soon
completely knocked out the grip." Sold
