Our grocery men are having a hard
time supplying the demand for cheese
these days, for it is said that one of
our old maids ate half a pound the
other evening and dreamed that she
had a man, which is said to account
for this sudden demand.
An exchange says Rabbitt-eaters
take notice; Examinations made by
physicians and by veterinarians show
that rabbits generally are afflicted with
a tubercular disease closely resembling
tuberculosis. There are running sores
on the little animal's sides, and in
many instances these sores are difficult
to detect beneath the fur, but a good
microscope will make them plain.
The disease is easily transmitted 'to
the human race, so you had better
examine your rabbits well before in
dulging your appetite. This is not a
"josh," but a serious fact.
John H. Aitkin, of Huntington, has
announced his candidacy for Republi
can nominee for State Treasurer.

tration of the office, In accordance
with our laws. All persons will be
