School Decalogue.
i .1. Thou shalt study in no other way
than that prescribed by thy teacher. ,
II Thou shalt study .thy lessons
thoroughly, and not let other things
that are foreign to school duties enter
thy head, for it Is written, "No two
things can be In the same place ,at the
same time." .
III Thou shalt not consider lightly
the lessons assigned thee by thy
teacher, but shall study them with all
diligence.
IV Thou shalt nbt devote thy time
wholly between the hours of 9 - A. M.
and 4 P. M. to study, for thy physical
being needeth recreation in the out
door air during intermissions.
' V Thou shalt so conduct thyself
that thy presence will be a pleasure to
both the teacher and thy fellow pupils.
VI Thou shalt not kill time for the
idler is not wanted In the school.
VII Thou shalt not think or say
evil of thy teachers if they reprimand
thee for not doing things that are for
thee to do.
VIII Thou shalt not steal thy
neighbor's pencil nor steal time from
thy teacher by being cautioned to do
or not to do certain things.
IX Thou shalt not refrain from
studying thy lessons during school
hours, and thereby by thy actions say
to to thy teacher that thqu hast thy
lessons prepared, for thy teacher will

do so by keeping them from getting
their lessons by attracting their atten
