Morrow County Health District
is recruiting for a full time Med-
ical Staff/Executive Coordinator.
Starting salary $75K or DOQ.
This position is located in Hep-
pner, Oregon and will assist the
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
in all matters of the District, in-
cluding contract management
and personnel issues. Empha-
sis is in management and coor-
dination of all medical staff
programs, policies and privileg-
ing, and payer credentialing for
all district providers and facili-
ties. The Coordinator will coor-
dinate and assist the CEO with
all functions of the medical staff,
including assistance with con-
tracting, recruitment, privileging,
provider scheduling and other
related tracking. Will schedule,
prepare agendas for, and take
medical staff meeting minutes.
Also assists with policy devel-
opment, tracking licenses, cer-
tifications and contracts for
renewal of all providers, assist
with preparation of other corre-
spondence, reports, audits, sur-
veys,
analyses
and
spreadsheet generation, and
various other duties.
Prefer two years of experience
in credentialing and/or medical
staff coordination, Bachelor De-
gree in a related field is pre-
ferred.
The successful
applicant must poses excellent
interpersonal and communica-
tion skills, the ability to function
under strict confidentiality and
meet strict deadlines, work
without direct supervision and
have strong analytical capabili-
ties and computer skills. Pre-
employment background check
and drug screen required.

MAINTENANCE
TECHNICIAN II
Morrow County Health District
is seeking applicants for its
Home Health and Hospice De-
partment Director position. The
vacancy will be created when
the current Director retires next
year, but the new Director can
join early and acclimate into the
position.
The position is headquartered
in Heppner, OR, a wonderful
small town in northeast Oregon
with excellent schools and a
great family lifestyle. Starting
salary $109,720 to $121,118
DOQ with increase after 4-
month probationary period, plus
approximately $8,250 additional
annually for call time.
The Home Health and Hospice
Director provides the overall ad-
ministration and direction of
services for both Pioneer Me-
morial Home Health and Pio-
neer Memorial Hospice, which
are combined into one joint de-
partment. The Director is a
working RN as well as a depart-
ment manager.
The Director is responsible for
the supervision of 11employees
– 6 FT, 5 PT along with volun-
teers, and oversees all services
provided by the department.
The Director is required to share
24-hour call responsibilities as
a Registered Nurse with the
other RNs in the department.
The Director also provides
backup nursing services for Wil-
low Creek Terrace Assisted Liv-
ing when the assigned
department RN is unavailable.
This is a leadership position
and requires leadership skills
and experience. Must have
graduated from an accredited
college with a two or four-year
nursing degree with a current
Oregon Registered Nurse Li-
cense. Must have two years of
acute care nursing experience
or equivalent required. Mini-
mum of five years’ progressively
responsible experience in com-
munity based care, home
health or hospice, which in-
cludes at least two years of su-
pervisory experience, or a
satisfactory equivalent of expe-
rience and training that demon-
strates the ability to perform the
described duties.
Must possess a valid driver’s li-
cense and the ability to manage
extensive driving in a variety of
weather conditions, including at
night, when needed. Mileage or
District car provided for patient
visits.

Maintenance Technician II at Pi-
oneer Memorial Hospital in
Heppner. $24.87 - $26.65/hr
DOQ with increase after 4-
month probationary period. The
Maintenance Technician II as-
sists the Maintenance Director
in managing equipment and
preventative maintenance tasks
in computerized software pro-
gram, assigning out daily tasks
and recording completed tasks
in the system. Helps repair or
replace plumbing, electrical and
mechanical
equipment,
changes heating/cooling sys-
tem filters, repairs/replaces mo-
tors, fans, bearings as needed,
Repair fire sprinkler system and
work with vendor as needed to
maintain constant operation. In-
terior and exterior construction
projects as assigned. Maintain
grounds, all landscaping duties,
shoveling show on walks, and
maintaining parking areas.
Maintain or arrange for mainte-
nance of District’s fleet of vehi-
cles and ambulances. Assist
clinic staff with patient lifting if
requested. Drive, set-up and
maintain oversized District vehi-
cles as needed and licensed for.
Become certified as an ambu-
lance driver and drive ambu-
lance for emergency calls and
transfers during assigned work-
ing hours as needed.
Must have a high school
diploma or equivalent, five
years work experience in facili-
ties maintenance, construction
or grounds keeping preferred.
Certification in HVAC, electrical,
plumbing, landscaping of facility
maintenance or education in re-
lated field preferred. Basic expe-
rience with computers and
Microsoft Office programs.
Have valid Oregon driver’s li-
cense, CDL preferred or be will-
ing to obtain.
Previous
maintenance experience, com-
puter skills required. Must be
able to work in confined spaces
and high places. Some heavy
lifting. Successful applicant will
be self-motivated and able to
work independently with mini-
mal direction and supervision.
