The caller said the neighbor allows the dogs to bark continuously and aggravates the dogs toward her. 4:23 p.m. — Hermiston police re- sponded to West Ridgeway Avenue on a report of a vehicle theft. 8:15 p.m. — A resident in Irrigon reported her boyfriend yelled at her and hit her with the toilet seat. He also threatened her life, she said, and she was able to leave to a friend’s house. Thursday, Aug. 18 Wednesday, Aug. 17 6:42 a.m. — A caller reported two garbage bags were in the middle of Bombing Range Road, Boardman, and one broke open and its con- tents spilled out. 7:58 a.m. — A caller reported a fire was burning on about 10 acres of grass off Highway 207 near milepost 19, Heppner. 11:13 a.m. — A resident in the area of the 600 block of Southwest Sec- ond Street, Irrigon, told the Morrow County Sheriff’s Office she believed her neighbor fired a gun into the air to warn her dogs for barking. Police responded. 10:36 p.m. — A resident on the 200 block of Northwest Oregon Avenue, Irrigon, called 911 and reported 9:08 a.m. — A 911 caller on East Main Street, Hermiston, reported a vehicle theft, stating their pickup and trailer had been stolen. Friday, Aug. 19 12:49 a.m. — Umatilla police re- sponded to Second Avenue on a report of an assault. 8:27 p.m. — A 911 caller on West Madrona Avenue, Hermiston, just kept saying “police.” Emergency agencies responded. 11:43 p.m. — A 911 caller on North Townsend Road, Hermiston, re- ported gunshots. Police responded. Saturday, Aug. 20 12:41 p.m. — A 911 caller on Brockel Way, Hermiston, reported an aggressive, black Rottweiler was at large. Police responded. 8:54 a.m. — A 911 caller on West Highland Avenue, Hermiston, re- ported a car crash involving a pe- destrian. Emergency agencies re- sponded. 3:42 p.m. — A resident of Wil- son Road Mobile Home Park, 600 Wilson Road, S.W., Boardman, re- ported her husband may be intox- icated, tried to hit her, took away her phone and took her children’s apartment. She said she fled to a neighbor’s place to call police. Boardman police responded, but found there was no crime. Monday, Aug. 22 9:46 a.m. — Hermiston police re- sponded to the 300 block of South First Street on a report of an assault. 9:49 a.m. — Umatilla County sher- iff’s deputies responded to Wyatt Enterprises, 375 W. Orchard Ave., Hermiston, on a report of a bur- glary. 1:13 p.m. — A caller on East Wilshire Avenue, Hermiston, re- ported there are dogs in small cages with no water at this location, and the caller requested a welfare check be done. 4:29 p.m. — A caller who said they were a wrap-around services coor- dinator for schools reported a stu- dent who is pregnant may be living in Heppner in an abandoned home without power or running water. The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office checked the area but did not find the student. 7:39 p.m. — A resident on North- west Water Street, Heppner, re- ported neighbors have a cat that is “really injured,” so she gave them antibiotics but they are not caring for the cat. A deputy arranged to meet with the cat’s owner. 7:58 p.m. — A caller reported there is a Labrador-pit bull dog mix that someone abandoned at a home on Pole Line Road, Boardman, and has an injured, swollen paw. Police arrested Cesar Var- gas Martinez, 18, for fourth-de- gree assault, third-degree theft, unauthorized entry into a vehi- cle and first-degree robbery. • Hermiston police arrested Fer- min Isaias Jeronimo-Chales, 27, for felony fourth-degree assault constituting domestic violence. Aug. 19 Hermiston police arrested Pas- cual Mateo Francisco, 28, for fel- ony fourth-degree assault.
