PLAYS LIVE AT CHURCHILL
BAKER CITY — Jeshua Marshall has
toured as a professional musician since
2003, but this month is the fi rst time
he’s performed a concert in Baker City
— the place he was born and spent time
throughout his childhood.
Marshall’s concert is Friday, Aug. 19,
at Churchill School, 3451 Broadway St..
Doors open at 6 p.m. and music starts
around 6:45 p.m. (enter through the 16th
Street parking lot).
Tickets are $10 in advance at churchill-
baker.com, or $15 at the door. Proof of
COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test
is required.
Fully vaccinated children age 15 and
younger attend free with a ticket-holding
adult.
ELECTRIC SUNDOWN SHINES
SPOTLIGHT WITH OPEN MIC
PENDLETON — Local talent is invited
to come out and sing a song, strum a
tune, read cowboy poetry or make people
laugh during an open stage/mic night in
Pendleton.
Tanner Carey will host the evening of
fun on Friday, Aug. 19 at Electric Sun-
down, at 14 S.E. Third St. The doors
open at 7 p.m. and the mic will be plugged
in at 7:30 p.m. Signups are accepted
at the door.

While the event isn’t open to large
bands, duos or small ensembles are wel-
come. To allow a variety of acts, partici-
pants are asked to keep their entertain-
ment to under 10 minutes.
