Still in the midst of a local state of emer-
gency, officials and experts are alerting the
public about the safety of local drinking water
in Morrow County.
The city of Boardman has, for example, no-
tified people that city water is safe for drink-
ing. It has posted this information on a sign
near city hall:
“The city’s water is safe to drink,” it states.
City Manager Karen Pettigrew supported
the sign’s message with a press release.
“Different than their rural neighbors, city of
