service clubs throughout the
region are springing forward
with Easter activities.

be getting any sleep this
spring as he’s busy scatter-
ing thousands of fi lled eggs
at Butte Park. Bring your
own basket and fl ashlight to
hunt for Easter eggs in the
dark. The free event, coor-
dinated by Hermiston Parks
& Recreation, is sponsored
by Rogers Toyota of Herm-
iston. Parents may accom-
pany their kids but chil-
dren 10 and under should

copal Church will join in wor-
ship for a pair of services, both
start at 7 p.m.:
• Maundy Thursday ser-
vice on April 14 at St. John’s,

feature the ancient service of
Tenebrae, which means the
journey in darkness, as partic-
ipants prepare for the events
preceding Easter.
• Good Friday service on
April 15 at the United Meth-

Nazarene church plans
yard sale
Hermiston Church of the
Nazarene is hosting a yard
sale to raise money for a July
mission trip to build a church
in Honduras.
People are invited to donate
items (no mattresses or televi-
sions) for the sale. Donations
will be accepted April 18-21,
9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church,
1520 W. Orchard Ave., Herm-
iston. The yard sale is Satur-
day, April 23, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.,
