BAKER CITY — The Geiser
Grand Hotel will showcase
Copper Belt Winery at a spe-
cial dinner on Saturday, April 9,
featuring winemaker Travis Cook
as the host.
The Winemakers Dinner be-
gins with a tasting class at 5 p.m.,
followed by dinner at 7 p.m.
Advance tickets are $95 and
available at the hotel, 1996 Main
St., or by calling 541-523-1889.
“The Geiser Grand sup-
ports the excellent makers in
the region by purchasing their
products and showcasing their
unique attributes to our guests,”
said hotel owner Barbara Sidway.
“We’ve been supporting Copper
Belt Winery from their start, so
it seemed a natural progression
to develop an annual dinner to
really celebrate their wines.”
During the dinner, Cook will
talk about the wine — where
the grapes come from and how
the wine is made. The hotel
chef will also talk about the
food preparation.
