ANNE BEARD DONATES BENCH TO SUPPORT ART CENTER, ANIMAL SHELTER PENDLETON — Anne Beard is using her work to support two of her favorite causes: Pendle- ton Center for the Arts and the Pendleton Animal Welfare Shel- ter. Beard has donated a bench, titled “Partners,” for a raffl e that ends on Thursday, Feb. 3. All pro- ceeds will be split between the two organizations. “Partners” is covered with appliquéd and embroidered wool gabardine and features leather wrapped legs and rails, accented with elaborate nail head applica- tion. The piece is valued at $4,200. Tickets to win the bench are available at the Pendleton Center for the Arts or at online at Pendle- tonArts.org. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20, and purchasers must be over 18 years old. Win- ner is responsible for all applica- ble state and federal taxes.
