Winter Fishtrap, this year
offered as an online confer-
ence, will be held on two
Saturdays in January — Jan.
22 and 29.
Registration is open now at
www.fishtrap.org. Cost is $50,
$45 for Fishtrappers, or $20
for students.
The theme is “Drought.”
Sessions will “explore drought
in relation to the environment,
the economy, socio-economic
justice, cultures, and the ulti-
mate future of the West.”
There are two main ques-
tions to consider: {span}How
did we get here? And where do
we go from here?
Guests include: Oregon
State Climatologist Larry
O’Neil; Dr. Hannah Gosnel,
rural land use and water policy
expert; Dr. Erica Fleishman,
director of the Oregon Climate
Change Research Institute;
and local and regional experts.
