MUSIC FESTIVAL
PENDLETON — The Oregon
East Symphony will present the
in-person return of its annual Hol-
iday Music Festival at 2:30 p.m.
on Sunday, Dec. 12, at the Vert
Auditorium, 480 SW Dorion Ave.
in Pendleton.
General admission is free. To

and reserved fl oor seating are
available by purchase at www.

the Symphony offi ce, 345 SW
Fourth St., which is open Monday
through Thursday from 10 a.m.-
2 p.m. The offi ce number is

$25 adults, $20 seniors, $15 stu-
dents, or $65 for a family. Masks/
face coverings are required of all
audience members.
The Holiday Music Festival is
an interdenominational celebra-
tion of the holiday season featur-
ing a variety of community music
ensembles. Zach Banks is the
guest conductor of this perfor-

TUNA CHRISTMAS’
BAKER CITY — Eastern Ore-
gon Regional Theatre will present
“A Tuna Christmas” Dec. 10-12
and Dec. 17-19. Showtimes are
7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays,
and 3 p.m. on Sundays. All are at
the EORT performance space,

‘A CHRISTMAS CAROL’
OPENS DEC. 10
PENDLETON, ELGIN — The
Elgin Opera House will open “A
Christmas Carol” at Blue Moun-
tain Community College this
weekend, then return to Elgin for
the remaining performances.
This version of the Dickens
classic is directed by Jon Kretzu,
former associate artistic direc-
tor at Artists Repertory Theatre
in Portland. The performances
at BMCC’s Bob Clapp Theatre
in Pendleton are at 7:30 p.m. on
Dec. 10 and at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30
p.m. on Dec. 11. Tickets are $18
and can be purchased at www.

The show then moves to
Elgin for performances on Dec.
17 and 18, then Dec. 21, 22
and 23. Shows are at 7:30 p.m.,
except for Dec. 18, which has
two performances (2:30 p.m. and
7:30 p.m.). Tickets are $18 for the
orchestra level and lower balco-
ny, and $8 for the upper balcony.

THREE DAYS OF
CHRISTMAS TRAINS IN
SUMPTER
SUMPTER, MCEWEN — The
Sumpter Valley Railroad will off er
three days of Christmas trains on
the same weekend of Sumpter’s
holiday celebration.
A night train on Friday, Dec. 10,
leaves McEwen Depot at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for
seniors and military, $15 for ages
3-17, or $70 for a family of four.
Saturday will feature short
runs leaving from the Sumpter
Station at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m.,
2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Fares are
$18.50 for adults, $15 for seniors
and military and $10 for ages
3-17. This is the day of Sumpter’s
holiday celebration from 11 a.m.-
6 p.m. Events include horse
buggy rides, vendors, ornament
making, burn barrels, chestnuts
roasting on an open fi re, photos
and a twilight parade at 5 p.m.
Another full train is set for
Sunday, Dec. 12, leaving McEwen
Depot at noon. Passengers will
have a 40-minute layover in
Sumpter to enjoy cookies and
hot chocolate at the Sumpter
Depot. Tickets are $25 for adults,
$22 for seniors and military, $15
for ages 3-17, or $75 for a family
of four.
