OSEPH — An art show of
diminutive dimensions will
open Monday, Oct. 11, at the
Josephy Center for Arts and
Culture.
“Little Works” is a special
exhibit featuring small scale art
of any 2D or 3D medium that fi t
into an imaginary 7-inch-square
box. All the artwork will be for
sale.
“Little Works” will be on dis-
play until a closing reception on
Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. The art center
is located at 403 N. Main St.
in Joseph.
The artwork features a wide
variety of mediums: stoneware,
collage, bronze, small canvas
paintings, and more. The artists
participating are both local and
regional, including Rene Fleming,
David Martin, Melissa Duncan,
Janis Carper and so many more.
“The exhibit theme ‘Little
Works’ speaks for itself,” said
Pamela Beach, curator and art
director of the Josephy Cen-
ter. “I’ve seen exhibits like this in
Portland and it’s really fun to see
what artists come up with when
there’s a size limitation. Asking
artists to create art that might be
out of the comfort zone becomes
adventure. The artwork in the
show ranges from whimsical to
the highest artistic level of skill.”
The Josephy Center’s current
hours are Monday through Satur-
day from noon-4 p.m. The gallery
is also open by appointment by
calling 541-432-0505.

home, look for a slide show of the
exhibit at www.josephy.org.
This exhibit is supported by the
Oregon Community Foundation
and local patronage.
