Concert tickets are free for Baker County residents, or $30 for nonresidents. Special to these concerts is a bonus round-trip train ride — tickets required — from McEwen to Sumpter aboard the Sumpter Valley Railroad. ENTERPRISE — Presented by the Wallowa Valley Music Alliance, the Courthouse Con- cert Series brings live music outside on summer Thursdays. The free concerts begin at 5:30 p.m. on the lawn of the Wallowa County Courthouse in Enterprise. The final two performances of this summer will be The Wasteland Kings on Aug. 26 and Sam Weber and Joey Carpenter on Sept. 2. Main St. is open 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Friday, and 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday. A monthly writer’s workshop will begin in September on the first Saturday of each month at 8 a.m. with time set aside for optional sharing.
