AUG. 11 1:50 a.m. — Hermiston police received a report of a vehicle theft along South Highway 395. 11:03 a.m. — A caller reported a male was passed out in brown Chevrolet Tahoe at a parking lot on East Main Street, Hermiston. 6:48 p.m. — A caller reported a manager at a store on East Ore- gon Avenue, Hermiston, was causing a disturbance over the food. AUG. 12 2:23 a.m. — Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on the westbound side of Highway 204 near milepost 3, Umatilla. The deputy responded to the fracas between two 14-year-old girls. Per rules at the fair, he trespassed both for the duration of the fair because they were fighting. 1:34 p.m. — A Hermiston resident on Northwest Eighth Place reported last fall a man did some work in her garage and took her electric cord and left a no-good purple one and his paint sprayer. He came and got his sprayer and cord but did not bring hers back. She wanted to know if she needs an officer to go with her to get her electric cord so she can vacuum her car. 5:55 p.m. — The Hermiston Police Department responded to a reported burglary on the 600 block of West Moore Avenue, Hermiston. BRIEFS Echo schools announces registration process As summer winds down, the Echo School District is gearing up for the 2021-22 school year. Families can complete registration verification for their students online or may attend a pair of in-per- son sessions if assistance is needed.
