PAINTBALL FUN
BOARDMAN — The Adventure
Club invites youths ages 12-18 to
play paintball.
The faith-based club offers
monthly activities to explore,
learn something new and have
fun. The upcoming Adventure
Club gathering is Saturday, Aug.
14, from 2-4 p.m. at 69994 Kunze
Lane, Boardman. It’s sponsored
by InFaith and the Rosen family.
Protective gear, paintball
guns and balls are provided.
Participants need to wear long
pants and should wear a long-
sleeved shirt. Advance registra-
tion is required. There is a limit
of 50 youths. Online registration

EASTERN OREGON BEER
FESTIVAL IS AUG. 14
LA GRANDE — The 2021
Eastern Oregon Beer Festival is
Saturday, Aug. 14, at the Union
County Fairgrounds in La Grande.
The 21-and-older event is mostly
outdoors and runs from 1-9 p.m.
Along with the beer, there will be

live music, great food and op-
portunities to talk with brewers.
Two bands have been signed
for the festival: Coyote Kings
out of Walla Walla, and local
favorite The Wasteland Kings.

Brewing. The tasting passes are
$25 pre-sale or $30 at the gate
on Saturday. Festival entry fee
for non-drinkers is $5.

WALLA FAIR
seven minutes changed the
face of Irish dancing forever.
The Eurovision interval act
performance gave millions
of people a new and exciting
glimpse of the future of Irish
dance with “Riverdance.” Fast
forward 25 years with com-
poser Bill Whelan rerecording
his soundtrack while producer
Moya Doherty and director
John McColgan have complete-
ly reimagined the show.
Filmed live in 2020 at the
3Arena Dublin — the exact spot
where it all began — the 25th
Anniversary Gala Performance
brought “Riverdance” to the big
screen for the first time.
Power House Theatre is of-
fering an encore screening of
the event Wednesday, Aug. 18,
at 7 p.m. The theatre is located
at 111 N. Sixth Ave., Walla Walla.

are $15 for adults and $10 for

fering discounted carnival ride
vouchers at participating loca-
tions. The $31 vouchers can be

The carnival voucher promo-
tion ends Friday, Aug. 29. At that
time, the vouchers will return to
their regular price of $37.
