Doug Crow, co-owner of Main Street Motors, said he and the other organizers for the fi rst Main Street Show and Shine started the event during a year when the Wallowa Mountain Cruise car show in Joseph was canceled. “We are motorheads and love cars so we decided we would try and put one together that wouldn’t interfere with future Mountain Cruise shows held in June,” Crow said. The third Saturday in August was chosen as the date, dove- tailing with the Stockgrowers Rodeo just a few blocks away at the Wallowa County Fair- grounds, providing a packed weekend in Enterprise. Crow said the car show draws people from all over the Northwest and there is an award for the car that came the farthest. For more information visit www.mainstreetshowandshine. com.
