All-Star Shrine Football
Game is happening this year on
Saturday, Aug. 7, after a one-year
hiatus.
And with the game comes a
bunch of community events —
all to support the Shriners Hospi-
tal for Children in Portland.
The day begins early with a
steak and pancake breakfast
from 7–10 a.m. in Geiser-Pollman
Park. Cost is $10, or $7 with no
steak. This is again served up by
the Baker County Cattlewomen
and Baker County Livestock
Association as part of the sixth-
annual Gridiron Tailgate and Grill.
The “Hoofi n’ It to Beef Fit” run/
walk starts at 8 a.m. Entry is $25
for the 5K or $35 for the 10K.
The 5K starts at the Thomas
Angus Ranch, 42598 N. Cedar
St.; the 10K begins at the Mack-
enzie Ranch, 19265 Chandler
Lane. For information, call or text
