AKER CITY — This weekend
features a special extra
concert in the summer sched-
ule for the Powder River Music
Review.
Barefoot & Bonafi de takes
the Powder River Pavilion stage
in Geiser-Pollman Park at 6 p.m.
Saturday, July 31.
Brass Fire headlines the Sun-
day concert, starting at 4 p.m.,
Sunday, Aug. 1.
Admission is free to the con-
certs. Donations are welcomed
to support the music series,
which relies on grants, sponsor-
ships and community dona-
tions.
Raffl e tickets are sold at each
concert — $5 each or 15 for
$20 — for a chance to win the
week’s gift basket.

This duo features Marilyn
Shollenberger and Lonnie
Shurtleff , who have played
SUPPORT
area. The band most recently
performed in the park on July
17 as part of Miners Jubilee.
Brass Fire formed about
eight years ago, and members
are all current or retired music
instructors.
“We rehearse every Wednes-
day night for the love of music,”
said Brad Rozema, who plays
trombone.
He said everyone sings, and
“we make sure every time we
play, everyone gets a solo.”
