City of Pendleton’s Wastewater
division of the Public Works De-
partment. Performs work in the
operation, repair, and mainte-
nance of facilities and equipment
at the wastewater treatment
plant. Requires: high school di-
ploma, preferably supplemented
by 2 years of mechanical trade
school and/or wastewater treat-
ment school with an Associates
Degree or equivalent, plus one
year of experience in equipment
operation and maintenance,
municipal treatment operation
and maintenance, public utili-
ties, construction, or a related
field. Must possess at time of
hire, or be able to obtain within
eighteen (18) months, Oregon
Department of Environmen-
tal Quality (DEQ) Wastewater
Treatment Level I certification.
Also requires ability to operate
a variety of tools and laboratory
equipment including computer,
the ability to work outside in all
weather conditions and perform
physically demanding tasks.
Must be able to pass a criminal
history check, and have a valid
driver’s license and satisfacto-
ry driving record, and have or
be able to obtain a commercial
driver’s license within one year
of hire. Salary range is $3,623 -
$4,458 per month, plus excellent
