Steven Patrick Kauffman
of Umatilla was born Sep-
tember 18, 1955, in Salem,
Oregon, the son of David
and Patricia (Fitzner) Kauff-
man. He passed away in
Umatilla on Friday, January
24, 2020, at the age of 64.
Steven lived in several
Oregon communities before
moving to Hermiston and
the surrounding communi-
ties 40 years ago. He worked
as a truck driver throughout
his career, driving both long
haul and local delivery.
Steven enjoyed going
hunting and studying history.
He married Pamela Sim-
mons in 1978 and the couple
later divorced. In 1985 he
married Linda Williams and
the couple later divorced.
His is survived by five

Anguiano and Madilyn Hofbauer of Hermiston, and
Cameron Sipe of Umatilla, earned academic distinction
for the fall 2019 semester at Whitman College. This rec-
ognition is given to students who have completed a mini-
mum of 12 credits, passed all credits attempted, and have
earned a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on no fewer
than nine graded credits during the semester.

Community Colleges of Spokane
SPOKANE, Wash. — Spokane Falls Community
College and Spokane Community College have named
honor roll recipients for fall quarter 2019, which ended in
December. Students must have a grade point average of
3.0 or above to be listed on the honor roll.
Brianna Rice of Hermiston made the honor roll at
Spokane Falls Community College. And Laura Ponce of
Boardman was named to the honor roll at Spokane Com-
munity College, also in Spokane.
Community Colleges of Spokane is a state community

vens, Whitman, Ferry and parts of Lincoln counties.

Gonzaga University
SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga University has
released its fall semester 2019 honor rolls.

Dean’s List (3.5-3.84 GPA).
