temporary positions available. Work duties will include, but not be limited
to: Prepare fields for harvest by removing sprinkler and/or drip lines from
the field. Worker will be required to hand harvest onions, broccoli and/or
lettuces to market specifications so as not to cause damage to the product,
place product inappropriate sacks, boxes or bins in the field. Lift and/or move
sacks, boxes or bins weighing 10 – 50 lbs.; facilitate the loading of product to
harvest vehicles in the field. Worker may operate farm equipment. All other
duties assigned under this order will be those duties of Farmworker, Diversified
Crops, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Classification Code
45-2092.02. Applicants must have 30 days verifiable experience in hand
harvesting onions, broccoli and/or lettuce and some general farm labor
experience. Must be able to lift and/or move 10-50 pounds. Worker must
be able to bend and stoop to reach ground level crops and be able to stand
on their feet or be on their knees for long periods of time. The standard work
week is 8 hrs per day, Monday-Friday and 5 hrs on Saturday. Hours may vary
between 7 to 12 hours daily, 5 to 7 days per week depending on weather.
Three quarter of the hours in the contract period are guaranteed. Tools,
supplies, equipment provided by employer at no cost to the worker. No
cost housing will be provided for individual workers who cannot reasonably
return to their permanent residence at the end of the work day, no family
housing available. Reasonable transportation and subsistence expenses
to the worksite will be paid by the employer in the paycheck issued for the
workers’ first pay period. Hourly rate is $13.13 and piece rate(s) are offered
depending on crop activity with a guaranteed minimum of $13.13 per hour.
Higher Hourly Rates and/or Bonuses may be paid to workers depending on

Agricultural Equipment Operators wanted August 1 to November 15, 2019 for Peri & Sons
Farms, Inc in Yerington, Nevada. There are 26 temporary positions available. Work duties
will include, but not be limited to operating the onion lifter, ride on the top of the sack
loader, operate farm equipment to prepare agricultural ground and seed beds for row crop
vegetable production. Ground preparation includes ground leveling, disking fields, ripping
fields, using land planes, and chisel plowing fields. Bed preparation for row crop vegetable
production includes listing, mulching, and seed bed preparation. Workers will be required to
apply fertilizers and chemicals with farm equipment, such as spray rigs, as necessary to grow
the crop. Workers may also be required to move, install, or remove irrigation equipment,
such as pipe and drip tape, incidental to the preparation of agricultural land and the
harvest of vegetable crops. All other duties assigned under this order will be those duties
of Agricultural Equipment Operators, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational
Classification Code 45-2091. Applicants must have 30 days verifiable experience in operating
onion lifting farm equipment and general knowledge of onion harvesting practices,
operating farm equipment in preparing agricultural ground and seed beds for row crop
vegetable production. Worker must be able to lift and/or move 20-50 pounds. Work may be
performed during light rain and in windy conditions and in temperatures in excess of 100°
degrees F. Workers will be seated while operating equipment for extended periods of time.
The standard work week is 9 hrs per day, Monday-Saturday and 5 hrs on Sunday. Workers may
be requested to work up to 10 hours per day when weather conditions, growing conditions,
crop conditions, or other factors require as determined by the Grower, Farm Manager or
Farm Supervisor. Three quarter of the hours in the contract period are guaranteed. Tools,
supplies, equipment provided by employer at no cost to the worker. No cost housing will be
provided for individual workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence

packing facility, storage facilities or on the farm that is incidental to packaging
the onions, such as performing cleaning and repairing the storage and packing
buildings, grounds, sort and move packaging. Workers may assist in harvesting
onions or other crops if needed to insure the product is removed from the
fields in a timely manner to avoid loss of crop. Worker may operate farm

10 hours per day depending upon the conditions in the fields and maturity of
the crops, and customer demands. Three quarter of the hours in the contract
