A two-vehicle crash
blocked all lanes of traffic
on Highway 395 in Herm-
iston on Friday morning.
Corey Cook, 41, of
Hermiston, was cited for
careless driving after his
pickup truck ended up on
its side in the middle of the
highway.
According to Herm-
iston Police Department,
Cook allegedly pulled out
in front of Deborah Cim-
miyotti’s silver SUV as
she was traveling south-
bound on the highway in
front of G&S Tire Factory
near Catherine Avenue.
Cimmiyotti, 62, of Herm-
iston, was transported to
Good Shepherd Medical
Center for evaluation after
her vehicle struck the driv-
er’s side of Cook’s vehicle.
Cook reported no injuries.
The crash happened
at 10:44 a.m. Hermiston
Police Department and
Umatilla County Fire Dis-
trict 1 responded to the
scene and traffic was routed
onto side streets while the
crash was cleaned up.
