Stanfield Community
Center hosts breakfast,
bazaar
The Stanfield Community Cen-
ter is offering a double-shot this
weekend with breakfast and a
bazaar.
A variety of breakfast foods
will be served from 7-10 a.m. The
prices vary from $3-$6 or more,
depending on the entrées and size
of meal. Vendors will offer hand-
made crafts, baked goods, home-
based business products and more
from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The community center is at
225 W. Roosevelt Ave., Stan-

Wildhorse reels in holiday
movies
During the weeks leading
up to Christmas, a trio of holi-
day-themed movies are featured
during Reel Classic Matinée Mov-
ies at the Wildhorse Cineplex
The film screenings are Wednes-
days at noon at the theater at Wild-
horse Resort & Casino, located off
Interstate 84 Exit 216. Upcoming
movies include Dec 5: “Scrooged”
starring Bill Murray; Dec 12: “It’s
a Wonderful Life” with James
Stewart; and Dec 19: “A Christmas
Story” featuring Peter Billingsley.
Tickets are $5 and include a
small fountain drink and a small

Elf Run races into the
holidays
The Irrigon High School boys
basketball team is bouncing into
the holiday season with a 5K
fundraiser.
The Elf Run is Saturday, Dec.
22 at 9 a.m. at Irrigon Marina Park.
If registered by Saturday, Dec.
15, the fee is $25, which includes
a T-shirt. After that date, the fee
increases to $30.
Free hot chocolate and cookies
will be available at the finish line.
In addition, medals will be given
for the most creative costumes.
Also, Santa Claus will be on hand
for pictures and will give away
candy canes.
