Kings of the court
Umatilla celebrated its heritage at Landing Days last weekend with food vendors, a fire-
works show, live music and other entertainment. The event also included a three-on-three
basketball tournament at the Umatilla Marina and nearby courts on Third Street.
Winners for the Umatilla Landing Days 3 on 3 Tournament in the 3rd/4th grade bracket
were the Strangers (Trae Garcia, Jayceon Stratton, Jayden McIvcker, Michael McGee). TCB
Squad (Kalen Allen, TJ Chavez, Zacary Rose and Alyjah Ingram) won the 5th/6th bracket,
while the Triple City Ballers (Tavia Villegas, Kennan Kidd, Jackson Burns, Maleek Rivera)
won the 7th/8th bracket, Paco’s Court (Moses Garcilazo, Sebastian Garcia, Uriel Garcia,
Mauro Garcia) won the high school division and Heat (Jose Navarro, Josh Dixon, Mike
McGee, Wesley Henderson) won the adult division.
