CRYPTOQUIP GG HUNTS AND SPECIAL WORSHIP services took center stage over the weekend as many people celebrated the Easter holiday. Several area service organizations and churches invited little ones to hunt for Easter eggs, including Hermiston Church of the Nazarene, which offered a separate hunt for children and youths with special needs. On Saturday, children of all ages also swarmed Gretchen Erickson’s property in search of Easter eggs filled with candy and cash prizes. A fire safety educator for Umatilla County Fire District #1, Erickson has hosted the event numerous times and has seen as many as three generations par- ticipate over the years.
