A black Subaru Forester crashed through the front
window of the Hermiston Big Lots on Wednesday
afternoon, causing between $60,000 and $90,000 in
damages. According to Hermiston Police Department,
Christina Grace Kennedy, 78, of Hermiston, was pulling
into a parking space in front of the store when she stated
she must have hit her gas pedal instead of her brake,
accelerating into the store. Store manager Teresa Martin
said it was “a little bit of a shock” but cleanup was started
right away and the store has reopened.
