T he Umatilla County Fair stretched into its new home at the Eastern Oregon Trade and Event Center in 2017, ending decades of occupancy at the fairgrounds near downtown Hermiston. The new facilities offer not only more space, but newer build- ings and amenities. The Umatilla County Board of Commission- ers voted Monday to give Hermiston own- ership and control of EOTEC, and the fair will continue on as ten- ants each year.
