Free day camp
reaches out to youths
The public is invited to an evening
of singing old hymns with new and old
friends.
The Hymnspiration is Sunday from 5-6
p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 193 E.
Main St. Hermiston. The gathering is the
last one until after the summer, so be sure
to join the fun and fellowship.

A free summer day camp is designed to
help youths develop and practice positive
skills and improve their social skills.
Presented by Lifeways, the REACH Sum-
mer Program is offered July 10-13, 17-20
and 24-27 at McNary Heights Elementary
School in Umatilla. It’s open to kids entering
first through sixth grades. In addition, older
youths may register as a mentor/helper.
The events also provide free dental
screenings and educational labs July 13 in
Umatilla. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are
also available during the day camps.

HHS class of 1972 meets June 17
An evening of laughter, fun and nostalgia
will celebrate the 45th year since the Herm-
iston High School class of 1972 graduated.
Classmates are encouraged to come and
catch up with friends. The gathering is Satur-
day, June 17 at 6 p.m. at the Midway Bar &
Grill, 1750 N. First St., Hermiston. There is no
charge to attend the no-host event. Although
the gathering centers around members of the
class of 1972, people from other classes are
invited to celebrate with their friends.
A class of 1972 photo will be taken at 6 p.m.

photo need to bring $15 to cover expenses.
