NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Hermiston City Council will
hold a public hearing on the 24th day of April, 2017, at or after
7:00 pm in the council chambers of City Hall, 180 NE 2nd Street,
Hermiston, Oregon. The purpose of the hearing is to consider
the creation and application of a Neighborhood Commercial
Overlay Zone. The proposed location for the application of the
Neighborhood Commercial Overlay Zone is as follows:
Beginning at a point at the common corner of Sections 9, 10, 15,
and 16, Township 4 North, Range 28E, E.W.M., Umatilla County,
State of Oregon; thence west along the line common to Sections
9 and 10 a distance of approximately 1,320 feet to the southwest
corner of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of said
Section 9; thence north a distance of 33 feet to the southwest
corner of Parcel 2, Partition Plat 1997-39, Umatilla County, State
of Oregon; thence north approximately 297 feet along the west
line of said Parcel 2 to the northwest corner of said Parcel 2;
thence east a distance of approximately 1,320 feet to the
centerline of State Highway 207; thence south along said
centerline a distance of approximately 297 feet to the point of
beginning.
The applicant is Eastern Oregon Development LLC. The
proposed zone would retain the existing C-2 outright and
conditional uses and include Mini Storage and Multi-Family
Dwellings as a conditional use. All interested persons are
encouraged to attend. Questions, comments or correspondence
