First St., Hermiston, asked for police to haul of a shopping cart full of garbage and other items by their waste container. 3:21 p.m. - A woman reported suspicious activity at a home on East Punkin Center Road, Hermiston. She went there to pick up a dog from someone she knows, and when she arrived a black pickup truck and a trailer were at the house, and the pickup driver, a Caucasian man in his 20s with dark brown hair, had uncovered a car in the garage and was loading items into the pickup. The woman said no one was supposed to be there, however. TUESDAY 11:01 a.m. - A Hermiston man re- ported more than $1,100 in fraudulent activity on his bank account. 2:04 p.m. - A woman told Hermiston police her son’s neighbors on West Ridgeway Avenue harass her when she goes to his residence and also threaten her and her son. 2:45 p.m. - A Hermiston-area woman reported two other females came to her apartment and pushed her out, pulled her hair and hit her in the face. She said she would wait for law enforcement in the parking lot. 3:21 p.m. - A man told Herm- iston police that around 8 a.m. on Northwest Spruce Street, Hermiston, his vehicle kicked up some dirt, and a resident threw a chair at the vehicle causing damage. 5:42 p.m. - Someone broke into a Hermiston woman’s home on Southeast Ninth Street, ransacked her dressers and stole jewelry. Moe Lane, Hermiston. 6:03 p.m. - Hermiston police looked for but did not ind the person who left Good Shepherd Medical Cen- ter, 610 N.W. 11th St., after becoming upset and making threats to return and shoot. 9:03 p.m. - Hermiston police re- ceived information that a 19-year-old man was hitting his sister all day. 11:18 p.m. - Teens caused a ruckus at East Main and Southeast Fourth streets, Hermiston. A caller reported she heard screaming and yelled at the youth, “I am going to call the cops,” prompting the bunch to scatter. She also yelled, “Shouldn’t you guys be in bed?” Someone responded, “Yeah, but we just got jumped.” The caller said there was no need for oicers to respond, but police should know in case someone came to school looking beat up. PUBLIC SAFETY LOG SUNDAY 12:45 p.m. - A woman told Hermis- ton police someone stole her 2001 white Suzuki car from the Economy Inn, 835 N. First St., Hermiston. 2:52 p.m. - A caller reported an assault on Southeast Sixth Street, Hermiston, with “blood everywhere,” then disconnected. 6:10 p.m. - A male told Hermiston police another male punched him in the face and head-butted him. 7:35 p.m. - A Hermiston caller reported the theft of a maroon Honda Civic from Northwest 12th Street. SATURDAY 6:06 p.m. - A caller reported two or three explosions occurred to the west of Oxbow Lane and Highway 730, Umatilla. FRIDAY 8:01 a.m. - A woman reported a burglary at her home on Carolina Road, Umatilla, after her husband had left. THURSDAY 1:12 a.m. - A 43-year-old man from Twin Falls, Idaho, escaped unharmed when the vehicle he was driving caught ire a few miles east of Pendleton on the westbound lanes of Interstate 84. Oregon State Police reported the ire destroyed the vehicle and investigators do not know the cause. 11:06 a.m. - A caller told Umatilla police she had an altercation with another dog owner when she was walking her dog at Powerline Road and Martin Drive, Umatilla. Police began an investigation. 11:18 a.m. - Emergency services received a call-out to respond to Two Rivers Correctional Institution, Umatil- la, for an inmate who injured himself in the groin area and was bleeding. 7:48 p.m. - The Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice received a report of someone dumping a large amount of trash on the 78100 block of Westland Road, Hermiston. Deputies did not ind the waste pile. WEDNESDAY 5:11 a.m. - A Umatilla woman said a company scammed her with “pick up” fees for a modem and router and did not give her a receipt. 7:17 a.m. - School buses speeding on Cottonwood Bend Road, Hermis- ton, prompted a man to complain to police. The caller said he iled driving complaints with the bus company, which has done nothing. 8:12 a.m. - A man reported the theft of $10,000 of equipment from his work trailer outside Hermiston. 9:22 a.m. - Hermiston police received a call to make sleeping transients leave from the back of the building at The Arc of Umatilla County, 215 W. Orchard Ave., Hermiston. 9:33 a.m. - Friendly pit bull dogs keep entering a property on Quiggle Lane, Hermiston, to play with Great Danes there, and the owner of the Danes said he talked with the other dog owners about this but they only tie up their dogs occasionally. Now he said he wants a Umatilla County sherif’s deputy to tell them to get rid of the pit bulls. 9:59 a.m. - Hermiston police received a tip about possible sex crimes. MONDAY 1:44 p.m. - A man at West Orchard Avenue and Southwest Third Street, Hermiston, told police the person who robbed him previously is at the bus stop. 1:54 p.m. - Hermiston police received a call from an emergency department nurse at Good Shepherd Medical Center, 610 N.W. 11th St., to check on a 1-year-old girl who could be sufering from neglect. The mother stormed out of the hospital when she could not smoke inside, and the child had an injury to a toe that needed medical attention. The mother, though, took the child and they left on a bicycle. 2:22 p.m. - A woman on Agnew Road, Hermiston, reported the neigh- bor’s dogs were out again, and in the past the dogs killed her chickens and attacked her and her family. 3:25 p.m. - The “one that rides the bike with bottles and cans” in Hermiston was at West Hermiston Avenue and Southwest Fourth Street throwing bottles and cans at passing vehicles. The caller also reported the man urinated in the bushes on Fourth Street. 4:04 p.m. - Hermiston police received a second-hand report that a man assaulted his girlfriend last week while she held a child and the boyfriend’s mother would not let the woman leave. Riverside Ave., No. 37, Pendleton, for two counts of restraining order violation, two counts of irst-degree burglary, and one count each of second-degree disorderly conduct, second-degree as- sault, fourth-degree assault, trespass and interfering with making a report. •Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice arrested Christina Marie Luna, 26, of Hermiston, for fourth-degree assault, reckless endangering and harassment. Saturday •Oregon State Police cited Joshua D. Williams, 24, no address provided, for DUII. His blood-alcohol level was .14 percent. •Stanield police arrested Kyli Jane Mayenschein, 23, of 77665 S. Edwards Road, Stanield, for felony and misdemeanor attempt to elude/ lee, hit and run (property), menac- ing, unauthorized use of vehicle and second-degree robbery. •Pendleton police arrested the following for DUII: Rylen James Crawford, 21, of 151 W. Beebe Ave., Hermiston; Travis D. White, 31, of 117 N. Yost St., Kennewick; and Oscar L. Saluskin, 27, of 151 Snowcaps Lane, Port Angeles, Washington. •Oregon State Police cited Isaiah Aguilar, 18, of Hermiston, for DUII after he displayed “multiple clues of marijuana impairment” during a traic stop near Hermiston. Aguilar was driving a 1995 black Saab around 11 p.m., according to state police, but going 17 mph slower than the speed limit on Umatilla River Road near McConnell Lane. State police also reported the trooper found marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia in the car and let his mother take him home. Friday •Pendleton police arrested Jamie Rae Rankin, 25, of Heppner, for third-degree robbery. •A Umatilla man who did not appear for his court date on a DUII charge now has another DUII arrest. Oregon State Police arrested Gregory Martin Eubanks, 54, after receiving a report at 11:11 p.m. of a driver in a Subaru Legacy nearly crashing head- on with a vehicle on Highway 395 near Umatilla. The Legacy hit the curb on the southbound side of the freeway and popped both driver side tires. Eubanks “exhibited multiple signs of impairment” at the scene, according to state police, and refused to take sobriety tests or provide a breath sample. The trooper arrested Eubanks for reckless driving and felony DUII, and also found he had a warrant after failing to appear in court on a previous duii charge. Thursday •Umatilla County parole/proba- tion arrested Dale Roger Burnside, 56, of 1735 N.E. Second St., Hermiston, for a probation violation and possession of methamphetamine. Wednesday •Oregon State Police arrested Bill Wayne Snyder II, 35, of Hermiston, on two counts of failing to report as a sex ofender. He came to the Hermiston state police oice to register, and that’s when police found he last registered on Sept. 24, 2013, in Morrow County, about 10 months after his conviction in Washington state for second-degree child molestation. He also moved twice without reporting. State police updated his registration, though, then booked him into the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton. •Hermiston police arrested Shavon Lee Onne Newton, 18, of 1365 S. Highway 395, Hermiston, for possession of methamphetamine. Wednesday •Pendleton police arrested Kimberly E. Terry, 28, of Holbrook, Arizona, for duii. Monday •Pendleton police arrested Kend- all Paige Loftus, 21, of Hermiston, for possession of methamphetamine. The arrest happened around 5 p.m. after an oicer pulled over Loftus in front of the East Oregonian, 211 S.E. Byers Ave. EO staf watched as a second oicer arrived, and police put the cufs on Loftus. Cops searched her car and pulled out a shotgun and knife, then took Loftus away. A woman arrived shortly afterward, spoke to an oicer and took the car Loftus drove.
