SUNDAY
4:12 a.m. - A pre-teen boy in Board-
man told law enforcement his stepfather
was ighting with his mother at their
apartment on Tatone Street.
9:38 a.m. - Morrow County law
enforcement responded to a call about
a wife in Boardman who slapped her
husband several times, took children and
threatened to kill herself.
10:55 a.m. - A red Chevrolet S-10
pickup dumped rooing material at 10th
Street and Utah Avenue, Irrigon.
10:42 p.m. - Boardman police
responded to a report of a female who
was the victim of an assault.
SATURDAY
12:54 p.m. - A gray GMC latbed truck
dumped a bag of ammonium sulphate in
a driveway on Southwest Second Street,
Irrigon. The property owner reported he
put the substance into his garbage before
realizing what it was. Irrigon ireighters
removed the substance from the road.
2:20 p.m. - Multiple callers reported a
black sedan westbound on Interstate 84
near Boardman rolled several times. Local
emergency agencies responded. There
was no further report.
3:36 p.m. - A Heppner woman report-
ed a caller from Jamaica tried to scam her
and her husband out of money.
6:01 p.m. - Scam callers tried to get
a Lexington man to let them access his
computer, but he called law enforcement
instead.
FRIDAY
11:03 p.m. - An Irrigon caller reported
people were outside at 2 a.m. on South
First Street screaming “they were going
to stab someone” and one person was
looking for “Joe” to buy drugs from. The
caller said he felt threatened.
6:05 p.m. - Fireighters responded to
a combine ire on Lindstrom Lane, Ione.
7:31 p.m. - An older man followed a
woman into the restroom at Don Baxter
Skate Park, 8 N. Main Ave., Irrigon.
THURSDAY
3:50 a.m. - The Boardman ambulance
transported a 14-month-old child to Good
Shepherd Medical Center, Hermiston, after
it had a seizure.
7:46 a.m. - Mikami Brothers Potatoes,
2601 S. First St., Hermiston, reported
several thefts at the property.
10:23 a.m. - A resident of Southeast
Kristen Drive, Irrigon, reported that
his and his wife’s cars were egged the
previous evening.
12:28 p.m. - A travel trailer ran into an
air station at the new Love’s Travel Stop
and Country Store, Tower Road, Board-
man, cracking the concrete, breaking
conduit and causing other damage. The
driver then left. The vehicle owner was
contacted by the Morrow County Sherif’s
Oice and directed to call the travel stop
with insurance information.
3:02 p.m. - Morrow County sherif’s
deputies were asked to contact the Hep-
pner Public Library, 444 N. Main St., after
staf discovered “inappropriate behavior”
on the back steps of the library.
3:58 p.m. - The city of Umatilla called

George N. Trotter Sr.
George N. Trotter Sr.
was born on September 18,
1944, in Nashville, Tennes-
see, to parents Ewing and
Bertha Whittle Trotter. He
died on July 3, 2016, at his
home in Hermiston,
Oregon, at the age of
71 years.
He was raised and
attended schools in
Tennessee. George
was united in mar-
riage to Dorothy
Ramsey on October Trotter
9, 1965, in Milton
Freewater, Oregon. They
lived in Pendleton, Ore-
gon, until 1966 when they
moved to Tennessee. They
moved to Hermiston, Or-
egon, in 1969 where they
have lived since.
George worked for
a short time at Marlette
Homes and then for the city
of Hermiston, Ore., as a
police oficer and ireman/
EMT. He began his ca-
reer as a conductor for the
Union Paciic Railroad in
1973 and it continued for
31 years until his retirement
in 2004.
George enjoyed hunting,
ishing, music, playing on
his computer, his dogs, and
most of all cherished time
with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his
wife of 50 years, Dorothy

the Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice after
a phone was found on Cherry Street and
the inder reported “a lot of drug pictures
on the phone.” A deputy was requested
to pick up the phone.
7:06 p.m. - A resident of Kincaid Lane,
Ione, called the Morrow County Sherif’s
Oice after inding doors open and
bottles lying around at a house they use
for storage. The owner did not want to
enter the house until it had been checked
by law enforcement. Sherif’s deputies
could not ind any intruders, and nothing
seemed to be missing from the house.
8:26 p.m. - A woman called the
Umatilla County Sherif’s Oice after an
unknown male took her dog and was
“being scary.” The woman received
information from family members as to
the man’s whereabouts, and requested a
deputy meet her at a residence on North
Townsend Road, Hermiston, to ind out
whether the dog was inside.
WEDNESDAY
12:54 a.m. - A caller at the Sub Zero
Restaurant & Lounge, 100 W. Highway
730, Irrigon, reported someone tried
to rob him.
1:52 a.m. - Hermiston police
responded to a report of a man and
woman yelling in the street on West
Ridgeway Avenue about drugs. The call-
er said the couple had been screaming
at each other for about 15 minutes.
9:11 a.m. - A caller reported
the gate to the entrance hall of the
Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in
Hermiston was damaged sometime
during the night.
7:42 p.m. - A man and his
wife told Umatilla police they are
“co-habitating with another couple”
on Naches Avenue but are not on the
lease and were asked to leave. They
wanted to talk to an oicer regarding
options and the eviction process.
9:31 p.m. - A Umatilla man on
Wenatchee Street reported someone
broke into his house and stole items
last night and he knows who has the
property.
10:06 p.m. - The Morrow County
Sherif’s Oice received a report of a
man hitting a woman and threatening
to kill a dog at a camp at Cutsforth
Park on Willow Creek Road, Heppner.
A deputy responded, saw no one with
wounds or bruises, and the people
there said nothing happened.
10:25 p.m. - A Hermiston woman
called to say her husband was on
Facetime with a half-naked woman in
front of her child. The wife asked her
husband to leave and he wouldn’t.
TUESDAY
12:10 p.m. - A male acted
aggressively toward a female during
an argument while walking on East
Coe Avenue, Stanield, toward South
Edwards Road.
2:35 p.m. - Someone dumped three
truckloads of tires at the McNary Yacht
Club, 34099 Beach Shore Drive, Hermiston.
3:28 p.m. - A Umatilla man
reported his “ex” broke into his house
on El Monte Street.
7:20 p.m. - A Stanield mother
told police she gave her son 30 days
to move from her property on East
Harding Avenue, and he threw her
refrigerator out of the residence.
8:29 p.m. - Thieves took a big
screen TV, a Blu-ray player and more
from a home on East Punkin Center
Road, Hermiston.
9:38 p.m. - Oregon State Police
and the Morrow County Sherif’s Oice
responded to a domestic disturbance
at a residence on Southwest Wyoming
Avenue, Lexington.

MONDAY
•Hermiston police arrested
Jose Ruben Juarez Lopez, 29, no
address provided, for attempt to lee,
unlawful possession of a irearm, DUII
(alcohol) and reckless driving.
SUNDAY
•Hermiston police arrested Junior
Espain-Covarrubias, 29, no address
provided, for criminal possession of a
forged instrument, identity theft and
on two warrants.
•Umatilla police arrested Christian
Alexander Fonseca, 21, no address
provided, for unlawful possession of a
irearm and possession of metham-
phetamine.
SATURDAY
•Morrow County Sherif’s Oice
arrested Daniel Rodriguez, 22, of
Boardman, on a warrant and for
possession of cocaine.

possession of methamphetamine and
carrying a concealed weapon.

Montez, 32, address not provided, for
felon in possession of weapon and
possession of methamphetamine,
