Glowing skin is beautiful. If your
face is greasy, however... well,
that’s another story. Six steps for
shine-free makeup that stays put:
1. If your skin is oily, hydrate it
with an oil-free moisturizer. If it’s
extra oily, skip the moisturizer
and just dab a little eye lotion
under your eyes. And if your
skin is dry, moisturize as usual.
2. To keep the greasies at bay,
prepare your skin for foundation
by applying an anti-shine
product.
3. If you have very good skin,
skip the foundation and just use
a spot concealer, which will stay
on longer. Use it under eyes,
around corners of your nose, and
wherever you have blemishes.

4. If you do use foundation,

Choose an Indoor-Outdoor
location. If you haven’t already
booked your site — whether all-
outdoors or all-indoors — look for
a beautiful reception site that off ers
both outdoor and indoor party
areas, such as one with a fabulous
ballroomand a lovely outdoor
terrace overlooking manicured
gardens, a golf course, or the ocean.
Guests can decide if they want
to be in the outdoor elements,
or comfortable inside in the air
conditioned building. Especially if
you have older or pregnant guests,
it’s essential to provide a cooler
environment option for all.
Rent A/C units. If your wedding
will be in a tent, or out in the open
air, be sure to rent high-quality,
portable fans that you test out
in the rental store to judge their
strength and relative silence. Great
party fans now run at a lower
volume level so that everyone can
hear the toasts and the music.
Invest well in plenty of these fans
for everyone’s comfort, and place
them around the seating area, the
bar, anywhere guests will gather.
Lips
You’ll be kissing your new husband,
kissing your guests, sipping
champagne... how in the world are
you supposed to keep your lipstick
on all day? Heed this advice for a
picture perfect pucker:
1. Start off by moisturizng your
lips with balm so your pencil will
glide along easily. Th en take your
lip pencil and color in your entire
mouth -- this will prevent your
lipstick from bleeding and supply
more holding power.
2. Insider Secret: If you’re the type
of person who can never keep her
lipstick on, use a medium-toned
concealer as a base before your lip
pencil.
3. Once your pencil’s in place, apply
your lipstick, then blot with a tissue.
While the tissue is still pressed to
your lips, brush some loose powder
on top, then remove the tissue and
make up your lips again to seal the
deal.
4. Th e fi nal step is adding a touch
of gloss and applying lipstick sealer.
Just one coat on your upper and
lower lips will hold your color in
place all day, or at least most of it.
