gave the case to the county juvenile
department.
FRIDAY, JUNE 3
1:07 a.m. - Two boys on bicycles rode
through private property on East Elm
Avenue, Hermiston. The property owner
told them to leave but they did not. A
Umatilla County sherif’s deputy did not
ind the boys.
1:56 a.m. - Five or six people fought
inside and outside at Midway Bar & Grill,
1750 N. First St., Hermiston.
2:59 a.m. - The Morrow County
Sherif’s Oice and Boardman police
responded to a 9-1-1 call about a silver
Dodge Neon on three tires and one rim
eastbound on Interstate 84 near Three
Mile Canyon Farms and headed to Board-
man. Law enforcement found the car at a
rest stop, and the driver passed a sobriety
test but refused a ride into town. Police
told him they would impound his vehicle
if he drives it, and he said he would call
someone to get him in the morning.
8:30 a.m. - A caller reported the theft
of a silver and purple 1999 Dodge with an
aluminum latbed from Westfall Septic,
78131 Highway 207, Hermiston.
12:01 p.m. - Umatilla police issued a
citation after a caller stated a black dog
chased him through his yard on Clif
Street and he had to jump into his car to
get away.
4:01 p.m. - Another local sent money
to scam artists. A Hermiston man this
time reported a caller told him he won
$29 million, a Mercedes and more cash
from Publishers Clearing House. But to get
the prizes, he needed to pay the IRS. The
man said he sent $3,800 in all on June 1
and 2, then he sent $3,000 more Friday,
but his wife and child told him to stop and
go back to the bank, and he got back the
$3,000.
5:50 p.m. - A woman told Umatilla
police her boyfriend was harassing her
and Thursday night hit her in the head.
6:30 p.m. - A Heppner woman report-
ed she received a scam phone message
claiming police would come if she did not
call back concerning unpaid taxes. She
said she wanted the sherif’s oice aware
if this and did not need contact.
11:25 p.m. - A thief stole cans from the
donation trailer at Irrigon High School, 315
S.E. Wyoming Ave., Irrigon.
THURSDAY, JUNE 2
12:05 a.m. - A woman told police
someone keyed her car and slashed one
tire on Southwest Sandy Drive, Hermiston,
but she did not know about the lat until
she drove. She said she stopped at The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
1035 S.E. Ninth St., Hermiston.
1:49 a.m. - A Boardman ambulance
responded to Columbia River Processing
Inc., 79588 Rippee Road, Boardman, for a
person who amputated a inger.
3:27 a.m. - A caller reported a drunk
driver at the McDonald’s, 1230 N. First St.,
Hermiston. She said a tan car hit a curb,
then swerved toward another vehicle, and
she followed the car to where it stopped
near the side of the nearby Wal-Mart and
asked the people inside if they were OK
while they poured out beer. The driver
was a female and switched seats with a
passenger. The caller also said there was a
case of beer in the back of the car.
8:36 a.m. - The manager of Village
Park, 1215 S.W. 11th St., Hermiston, told
police her husband told a female not to
honk her car horn, and she tried to hit him
with the car. The manager said she would
sign a complaint.
8:41 a.m. - A drunk man came to
Columbia River Processing Inc., 79588
Rippee Road, Boardman, and threatened
to kill an employee.
10:36 a.m. - An Irrigon man on
Southwest Third Street reported inding a
bullet hole in his trailer that hit and broke

the door handle.
12:13 p.m. - Hermiston police received
a 9-1-1 call out to Southwest 11th Street
after a property manager reported
evicting a man and woman who then
broke down a door.
12:16 p.m. - A caller reported someone
during the night broke into a chicken coop
and stole eggs at a rental on Umatilla
River Road, Hermiston.
1:17 p.m. - Hermiston police received a
call about a male hitting a female in front
of children she was babysitting.
6:25 p.m. - A 9-1-1 caller reported
hearing a female scream from a residence
on Yakima Street and Deschutes Avenue,
Umatilla.
11:16 p.m. - A girl about 3 years old
chased her mother and father who fought
while walking from Ridgeway Village
Apartments, 725 W. Ridgeway Ave.,
Hermiston.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1
7:12 a.m. - A male transient hit a
female transient and shoved her at Big
Lots, 930 S. Highway 395, Hermiston.
9:11 a.m. - Hermiston city workers
burning tumbleweeds at the Ott Road en-
trance to Eastern Oregon Trade And Event
Center found plastic bags that appeared to
contain possible stolen property.
10:59 a.m. - An employee of the
Northwest Livestock Commission, 28871
N.W. Livestock Road. Hermiston, reported
someone shot the electrical box for the
company’s electric fence.
11:12 a.m. - A man on Leathers Road,
Hermiston, reported a neighbor’s dog killed
his 3-day-old calf. He said he did not know if
the dog was alone or part of a pack.
2:37 p.m. - A son asked the Morrow
County Sherif’s Oice to check on his
52-year-old mother in Boardman. He said
she vomited “black substances” and fell
and now was not answering her phone. A
deputy checked on her and found she was
ine and had been smoking marijuana.
3:10 p.m. - Staf at Pioneer Memorial
Hospital, Heppner, told the Morrow Coun-
ty Sherif’s Oice parents that appeared
intoxicated dropped of their 11-year-old
boy and left.
5:37 p.m. - A Umatilla man on Chukar
Circle asked for an oicer to ind out what
was going on with the eight cars blocking
his driveway and have people move
them. Police issued a warning.
5:49 p.m. - A woman told Hermiston
police her boyfriend refused to allow her
to get her belongings and threatened
violence toward her and said he would
shoot her friends if they came over.
5:50 p.m. - A woman reported she
was in her yard at Union Street and Lind
Road, Hermiston, when a vehicle stopped
and a female got out and threw away
three or four pieces of garbage on the
road just west of her home then left south
on Highway 395.
7:15 p.m. - A Hermiston male called
9-1-1 to report a woman he knows took
the door handle of of the house and was
inside yelling at him.
8:10 p.m. - An Irrigon man reported
he returned to his home on Northwest
Oregon Avenue and found someone
broke a sign in his yard and moved the big
rocks from in front of his house to under
the carport. A Morrow County sherif’s
deputy responded and found footprints
that appeared to belong to children. The
caller said he would talk to his neighbors.
11:08 p.m. - The ire seemed to
be starting up again near Two Rivers
Correctional Institution on Beach Access
and Roxbury roads, Umatilla.

Monday, June 6
•Oregon State Police arrested Jihn
Verl Smith, 55, of Echo, for driving under
the inluence of intoxicants, reckless
driving, and unlawful possession of a
irearm. OSP also cited Smith for having an
open container of alcohol.
Sunday, June 5
• Oregon State Police arrested Felipe
D. Farias Flores, 32, of Hermiston, for DUII.
• Boardman police arrested Teoilo
Ruiz Castaneda, 47, of Boardman, for
fourth-degree assault.
Saturday, June 4
• Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office
arrested Allison Rae Cherry, 22, no address
provided, for felony fourth-degree assault.
• Boardman police arrested Ajamu
Dia Nathan, 18, of Boardman, for felony
fourth-degree assault, vandalism and
interfering with a 9-1-1 call.
• Oregon State Police arrested Wilson
Totus, 55, no address provided, for DUII.
Thursday, June 2
•Morrow County Sherif’s Oice
arrested two people at 295 S.E. Fourth St.,
Irrigon, on drug charges. David William
Aitken, 63, faces one count each of
possession and delivery of methamphet-
amine, and Eric Thomas Johnson, 50, faces
one count each of possession of meth and
frequenting a place of drugs. Deputies
also arrested Johnson on a warrant for
violating probation.
Wednesday, June 1
•Hermiston police arrested Michael
Wayne Waelty, 30, of Hermiston, for felony
fourth-degree assault, felony strangulation,
menacing and harassment, all related to
domestic violence. Police also arrested him
on a warrant for failure to appear.
Monday, May 30
•Hermiston police arrested Taylor
Gordon Morris, 24, of Hermiston, for pos-
session of methamphetamine, criminal
conspiracy and second-degree theft.
•Morrow County Sherif’s Oice
arrested Elton Arthur Long, 46, no address
provided, for harassment and strangu-
lation.
•Morrow County Sherif’s Oice
arrested Leobardo Jacquez III, 40, of
Boardman, for possession of metham-
phetamine and hit and run.
