Idaho. She was born Nov. 1, 1941, in East Chicago, Ind. A
private family inurnment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery,
St. Maries, Idaho. A memorial no-host brunch for family

ing $300,000 for his brother in
Tijuana. He said he called his
brother but no one answered
and his brother’s friends also
have not heard from him. He
asked to speak to police about
what to do.

told police he was at the Pilot
Travel Center, 2115 Highway

driver punched him in the chest
six times. The victim also said
he used his semi to block in the
other driver.
6:21 p.m. - One neighbor

6:27 p.m. - A woman outside
Umatilla told law enforcement
a man she knows poked the
tires on her vehicle and wrote
profanity on it as well. She said
she wanted to press charges.

1:27 p.m. - A caller from the
environmental consultant GN
Northern Inc., 81006 Highway
395, Hermiston, reported an
employee quit on Friday but still
has keys and credit cards and
access to some of the buildings.
The caller also said the former
employee is a sex offender and
may have been looking at inap-
propriate material on his laptop.
5:40 p.m. - An Irrigon wom-
an reported someone removed
the screen from the window of
her home on Southeast Fifth
Street and she heard the dog
growl around 3 a.m. She asked
the Morrow County Sheriff’s

at night.
6:07 p.m. - People claiming
to be campers threatened a
woman walking by the Umatilla
Fish Hatchery, 73959 Riverview
Lane, Irrigon. She reported the
incident to law enforcement.
6:32 p.m. – The owner of
a 1994 black Dodge Intrepid
reported the vehicle broke down
and she parked it at Bucks
Corner at Highway 395 and
Highway 730, Umatilla, and
someone sold the rims off the
car.
9:15 p.m. - An Irrigon
woman called 9-1-1 and started
to talk when a male said,
“You’re going to call because I
am being an (expletive).” The

and the line disconnected. The
dispute was verbal only.
9:21 p.m. - A passerby re-
ported smelling natural gas from
a vacant home on East Sunset
Drive in Hermiston. Hermiston
Fire responded and found no
gas smell and no readings on
the gas meter.

The home owner said he had

“looked to be casing the cars

the shop,” but took off on a
bicycle when the caller went

4:38 a.m. - A resident of
True Hill Mobile Home Court
in Hermiston reported a “male
hiding in the shadows.” Police
were unable to locate the
suspect.
6:32 a.m. - A cab driver al-
legedly threw money and coins
at a Hermiston woman, hitting
her in the face, as he dropped
her off at her home.
11:31 a.m. - A 3-year-old
child was reported driving a
motorized car down Northwest
Third Street in Hermiston with-
out adult supervision.
1:23 p.m. - A 9-1-1 caller
reported a female beating a
male while driving on Highway
395 at East Feedville Road,
Hermiston.
1:43 p.m. - A 20-something
male with short dark hair and
wearing a dark blue sweatshirt
and shorts took photos of
vehicles in the parking lot of the
Crossroads Truck Stop, 2020
Highway 730, Umatilla.
2:22 p.m. - A woman told the

a male she knows beat her
vehicle near Umatilla, then took
off on a motorcycle, possibly to
go to her home to hurt her son.
She became agitated and hung
up on the dispatcher.
6:31 p.m. - A woman told
Umatilla police someone picked
the locks on her boyfriend’s
place at the Umatilla Marina
RV Park and some things are
missing.
8:11 p.m. - Two intoxicated
males were reported in the mid-
dle of the street on East Cherry
Avenue and Northeast McNary
Street in Hermiston. One man
reportedly fell over on private
property while the other was
banging on a garbage can.
8:16 p.m. - One resident on
Carolina Road, Umatilla, asked
police to have a neighbor stop
mowing the lawn because it
was too late to be too noisy.
8:53 p.m. - Hermiston Fire
responded to a report of smoke
in the furnace room at Lifeways.
Smoke was seen in the furnace
room and the adjoining hallway,
and there were scorch marks on
the inside of the breaker door.
