6:43 p.m. - A burglar got into a
house on Moyer Lane, Hermiston, and
stole cash, titles and birth certificates.
The Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office is
investigating.
10:33 a.m. - Credit cards and
ID were taken from a vehicle on
East Hurlburt Avenue, Hermiston.
Someone also broke into a pickup on
the same street.
11:51 a.m. - A resident of Ridgeway
Avenue, Hermiston, reported some-
one ransacked her garage Thursday.
8:05 p.m. - A woman reported
someone broke into her house
on Minnehaha Road, Hermiston,
and moved items but did not steal
anything.
11:30 p.m. - A juvenile from
Hermiston called 9-1-1 to report her
mom’s boyfriend and her uncle were
fighting outside. The caller was hiding
inside the home.
11:54 p.m. - A caller reported
gunshots at Tri-Harbor Landing Apart-
ments, 210 Klickitat St., Umatilla.

1:21 a.m. - Umatilla police received
a report of man on Rio Senda Drive
shining a red laser into a woman’s
bedroom window,
8:59 a.m. - A Umatilla caller told
police a strange man rode a bicycle
last night at Casa Court and El Monte
Street and told children he had a
purple and white dog they could see if
they came home with him.
11:24 a.m. - Hermiston police
arrived at Hermiston High School
after one student drove her vehicle
in the direction of another student
in the parking lot. No one reported
injuries, and the school disciplined
both students. Police did not cite or
arrest anyone.
2:37 p.m. - A resident of West
Madrona Avenue in Hermiston report-
ed a woman walked into her house
through an open sliding glass door
and was bleeding from her right eye.
3:59-4:21 p.m. - Two residents
of Ridgeway Avenue, Hermiston,
reported someone trashed a home
while the occupants were away.
5:24 p.m. - A Umatilla man told
police he caught an older male staring
at his wife, and the neighbors caught
him as well. The man left in a dark
blue Chevrolet pickup.
6:19 p.m. - A vehicle stopped at
the light on West Orchard Avenue and
Highway 395 on Friday afternoon only
to see smoke coming from under the
hood. Hermiston Fire responded and
extinguished the fire.
8:26 p.m. - A report of “a large
fire with smoke and flames” and
“possible explosions” sent Hermiston
firefighters out to private property

from someone claiming to be the
IRS that she believed was a scam.
Separate Hermiston residents also
reported similar incidents at 9:25
a.m., 10:42 a.m. and 12:44 p.m. — all
from different phone numbers.
8:14 a.m. - The Umatilla County
Sheriff’s Office cited a resident on
Agnew Road, Hermiston, after a
neighbor complained about the per-
son’s Chihuahuas. The caller said the
small dogs some time ago killed her
chickens and attacked her children,
and the dog owner agreed to keep
the dogs from running around, but
two days ago they got out again and
attacked one of her ducks, which is
going to die.
8:22 a.m. - Someone stole a 46-
inch flat-screen TV from a home on
East Bella Vista Avenue, Hermiston.
8:46 a.m. - A battery operated
four-wheeler was reported stolen
out of a garage on Northeast Sixth
Street, Hermiston.
9:17 a.m. - Two pit bull dogs
chased horses on Northeast Wagner
Lane, Hermiston. The horse owner
said she took photos of the incident
and the dogs are from a neighbor on
Raven Lane.
11:47 a.m. - The Umatilla County
Sheriff’s Office received another
dog-related complaint. This time a

came to his house and threatened
to beat him. The man asked to

woman on Minnehaha Road, Herm-
iston, reported a UPS driver comes
into her yard just to kick her dog. The
driver about 40 minutes ago came
to deliver a package, which he left
outside the fence because he is not
welcome in the yard. Then, she said,
the driver entered the yard, stomped
at the dogs and kicked one of them.
The dog owner said she previ-
ously contacted UPS about this driver
and believes the delivery company is
not doing enough to stop incidents
like this. Thus, she wanted to speak
to a deputy.
4:09 p.m. - Stanfield police
received a report that a vehicle dam-
aged the railroad crossing arms at
North Thielsen and Dupont Streets,
Echo, and took off from the scene.
4:11 p.m. - A man in Umatilla
reported his significant other
assaulted him.
4:26 p.m. - An underage female
was caught stealing a beer from the
Hermiston Rite Aid.
5 p.m. - Hermiston firefighters
warned a property owner burning
blackberry bushes near East Spear-
man Road, Hermiston, that Thursday
was a no-burn day.
5:02 p.m. - A woman reported
the theft of prescription medications
from her home on Seventh Street,
Umatilla.

12:30 p.m. - A woman on Klaus
Road, Hermiston, caught a dog trying
to eat her chickens. She said she
called Pet Rescue Humane Society
of Eastern Oregon, Hermiston, but it
charges $25 to take the dog, She said
it would be cheaper to kill the dog and
asked for a Umatilla County sheriff’s
deputy to call her.
2:22 p.m. - Stanfield police
received a complaint about an older
driver who every Wednesday leaves
the senior center at 225 W. Roosevelt
Ave. in a van that and almost hits a
bus that workers use.
5:11 p.m. - A caller reported a semi
driver eastbound on Interstate 84
near Boardman was reading a novel
and drifting over the white line on
the right side of the road. Dispatchers
advised the Morrow County Sheriff’s
Office and Oregon State Police.
6:04 p.m. - Four people on Bensel
Road, Hermiston, burned in a burning
barrel, which then caught some tires
on fire.
9:13 p.m. - Umatilla police
received a report of a woman hitting
a mother in the face, and at least one
person was using heroin.
