General Farm Laborers/Irrigators wanted April 24 to
November 1, 2016 for Peri & Sons Farms, Inc in Yerington,
Nevada. There are 146 temporary positions available. Work
duties will include, but not be limited to, preparing fields for
irrigation by sprinkler or drip delivery system, performing
scheduled irrigation of the fields, operating a tractor, as is
the norm in growing diversified commodities, and assisting in
land preparation and planting/cultivation activities. Workers
may be required to perform work, on the farm, that is
incidental to farming the crops listed in the application, such
as performing hand cultivation and harvest tasks, weeding or
hoeing crops, cleaning and repairing farm buildings, seed
beds, bins, grounds, set up and move irrigation pipes and
equipment, gardening and weeding, etc. All other duties
assigned under this order will be those duties of Farmworker,
Diversified Crops, under the Bureau of Labor Statistics
Occupational Classification Code 45-2092.02. Worker will
assist with harvesting of crops. Worker must be able to lift
and/or move 20-50 pounds and kneel for long hours.
Applicants must have 30 days verifiable experience in row
crop irrigation and some general farm labor experience. The
standard work week is 8 hrs per day, Monday-Friday and 5
hrs on Saturday. Hours may vary between 7 to 12 hours
daily, 5 to 7 days per week depending on weather. Three
quarter of the hours in the contract period are guaranteed.
Tools, supplies, equipment provided by employer at no cost
to the worker. No cost housing will be provided for individual
workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent
residence at the end of the work day, no family housing
available. Reasonable transportation and subsistence
expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer in the
paycheck issued for the workers’ first pay period. Hourly rate
is $11.37 and piece rate(s) are offered depending on crop
activity with a guaranteed minimum of $11.37 per hour.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Onion Harvest Bag & Field Sack Loader workers wanted
April 15 to June 1, 2016 for Peri & Sons Farms of
California, LLC, in El Centro, CA. There are 18 temporary
positions available. Workers will be required to assist in
the harvest of onions by performing the following duties:
Workers will carry bundles of empty burlap onion bags
and place the empty 150 lb burlap onion sacks in each
field/row as it has been prepared for harvest. Workers
will follow behind the harvest workers and top the bags.
Worker must make sure the bags are lined up correctly,
repositioning 150 lb bags as necessary. Workers will
recover the discarded bags and will stack and bunch
them neatly to be moved to the next field. Work may be
performed during light rain and in windy conditions and in
temperatures in excess of 100° degrees F. Field work is
very dusty. Workers will be required to walk in onion
fields and stoop to collect or place onion bags. Workers
must be able to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the
work day. The standard work week is 8 hrs per day,
Tuesday – Sunday. Hours of operation are set as a split
shift; 6am to 10am & 6pm to 10pm 6 days per week.
Three quarter of the hours in the contract period are
guaranteed. Tools, supplies, equipment provided by
employer at no cost to the worker. No cost housing will
be provided for individual workers who cannot reasonably

SUMMARY
QA Supervisor will direct quality assurance activities at the facility

and finished goods quality. The QA Supervisor must be able to

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop written procedures for sampling loads of incoming and
outgoing onions.
• Demonstrate expert knowledge of onion grades and quality
expectations of our customers.
• Supervise all QA personnel and maintain integrity among the staff.
• Monitor grading accuracy on a daily basis.
• Supervise the collection of food safety monitoring logs.
• Evaluate the facility compliance with regards to food safety
requirements.
• Develop and maintain all SOP to meet all appropriate food safety
requirements.
• Prepare documentation necessary for food safety audits.
• Conduct in house and third party audits on the appropriate
schedules and complete necessary paperwork.
• Provide training as necessary to assure QA personnel are
adequately trained for their position requirements.
• Inspect packaging materials for compliance with food safety
requirements and customer specifications.
