Hermiston, Oregon on Oc-
tober 28, 1924, to parents,
Alfred Arthur and Katie
(Smith) Hall, the
youngest of three
children. She was
raised and attended
school in Hermis-
ton, Oregon. She
passed on October
25, 2015, three days
prior to her 91st Schild
birthday in Walla
Walla, Washington.
She married Russell
Blower in 1944 of Lake-
port, California. He passed
away in 1956. Dorothy
later married Glenn Carr,
a widower with three chil-
dren from Milton-Free-
water, OR, in 1958. He
passed away suddenly in
1961. In 1964, she met
and married Emil Schild,
also a widower with two
children in College Place,
WA. They later settled in
Milton-Freewater,
Ore-
gon. Emil passed away in
2001, again leaving her
a widow alone. Dorothy
moved into Eagle Mead-
ows Assisted Care Living
Facility in College Place,
Washington. In 2015, ill-
ness forced her to move
into Regency at the Park
Nursing Home, where she
has lived since.
Dorothy is a member of
the Seventh-day Adventist
Church in College Place.
She worked as a nurse’s
aide for many years. Dor-
othy and Emil Schild
helped to manage a nurs-
ing home in Milton-Free-
March 7, 1949-Oct. 23, 2015
water for a number of
years. She loved garden-
ing, needlework, reading,
crossword puzzles and
reading her Bible until
declining
health
prevented her from
doing many of the
things she enjoyed.
She had survived
the loss of her par-
ents, her three hus-
bands, two brothers:
James Carl Hall in
1998 and Edward
Eugene Hall in 1985, step-
sons: Leon Carr in 2011
and Floyd Schild in 2014;
a niece: Carla (Hall) How-
ard in 2008, and a neph-
ew: James Hall in 2013.
Her remaining family
consists of step-children:
Donna Schild (Floyd),
Milton-Freewater,
OR;
Kathleen (Schild) Thomp-
son, Nampa, ID; Neil
Carr, College Place, WA;
and Nelda (Carr) King,
Weston, OR; two niec-
es: Barbara (Hall) Horn,
Hermiston, OR; Gisele
(Hall) Blanton, Federal
Way, WA; two nephews:
Edward A. Hall, Pendle-
ton, OR; and Edward E.
Hall Jr., Greeley, CO; and
many other extended fam-
ily members.
