Clerk. The position is
located in Hermiston, Oregon.
This position offers a full benefits package

General Summary
Compile data, compute fees and charges,
and process invoices for payment. Duties
include computing costs and calculating
rates for goods, services, and shipment of
goods; posting data; and keeping other
relevant records.
Principal Duties:
Verify accuracy of invoiced data and
revise any errors.
Operate typing, adding, calculating, and
billing machines.
Review itemized statements, bills, or
invoices; and record amounts due for items
purchased or services rendered.
Review documents such as purchase
orders, sales tickets, charge slips, or other
records in order to compute fees and
charges due.
Perform bookkeeping work, including
posting data and keeping other records
concerning costs of goods and services.
Keep records of invoices and support
documents.
Resolve discrepancies in accounting
records.
Contact vendors in order to obtain or
relay account information.
Compute credit terms, discounts,
shipment charges, and rates for goods and
services in order to complete invoice
documents.
Answer mail and telephone inquiries
regarding rates, routing, and procedures.
Compile reports of cost factors, such as
production, storage, and equipment.
Education:
High School Graduate or General
Education Degree (GED)

our CAIP (Customer
Assisted Inspection Program). River Point
Farms office is located in Hermiston, Oregon.
Candidate would be responsible for inspec-
tion and grading of onions according to tech-
nically written federal and state standards.
The successful candidate would be trained in
an on-the-job setting by experienced senior
inspectors until he/she is able to determine
onion quality accurately.
The CAIP trainee positions involve some shift
work and often work 5-6 days a week. We
offer a full benefits package and competitive
pay range depending on experience and
qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma
Math skills to include addition, subtraction,
multiplication and division
Bilingual in English/Spanish Preferred.
Well-organized, able to function well under

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Her-
miston Planning Commission will hold a
public hearing on the 14th day of October,
2015 at or after 7:00 p.m. in the council
chambers of the Hermiston City Hall, 180
NE 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon. The
purpose of the hearing is to consider
amending the City of Hermiston Zoning
Code through the adoption of the following
addition to the zoning code:
Add the following language to §157.151 of
the Hermiston Code of Ordinances:
(B) Marijuana Related Activities. The fol-
lowing activities shall be prohibited activi-
ties in the R-3, R-4, C-1, C-2, DCO, M-1,
and M-2 zones:
1. Marijuana processing sites;
2. Medical marijuana dispensaries
registered under ORS 475.314;
3. Marijuana producers licensed under
section 19, chapter 1, Oregon Laws
2015;
4. Marijuana processors licensed under
section 20, chapter 1, Oregon Laws
2015;
5. Marijuana wholesalers licensed under
section 21, chapter 1, Oregon Laws
2015;
6. Marijuana retailers licensed under
section 22, chapter 1, Oregon Laws
2015; or Any combination of the entities
described in this section
The applicant is the City of Hermiston.
The proposed amendments are available
for inspection at no cost at the planning
department office located in the city hall,
180 NE 2nd Street, Hermiston, Oregon. A
copy of the proposed amendment can be
obtained at no cost. The criteria which are
applicable to the proposed amendment
are contained in §157.226 of the Hermis-
ton Code of Ordinances.
All interested persons are invited to at-
tend. Written questions, comments or
other correspondence should be delivered
to the planning department office no later
than 5:00 p.m. on October 14th, 2015.
Oral and written testimony will also be re-
ceived during the hearing. For additional
