2015, at his home
in Hermiston, Or-
egon, at the age of
88 years.
Johnny served Thieme
in the United States
Army during WWII until
his honorable discharge.
Johnny was united in
marriage to Maxie May
Zumwalt on September 7,
1949, in Arkansas.
He worked at several
saw mills starting in Mitch-
ell, Ore., in 1949, then Eu-
reka, Calif., Reith, Ore.,

until 1966. Johnny started
his career with Marlette
Homes in November of
1966 and continued until
1989 when he retired as a
leadman. He continued to
work at Marlette and Lamb
Weston as night watch-
man/yard guard until the
early 1990s.
Johnny attended the
Hermiston Assembly of
God Church and had been
a member of the VFW and
Eagles lodge. He enjoyed
gardening, fishing, and
reading.
He is survived
