Pleasant View Cemetery, Stan¿ eld.

beth Morton was born Au-
gust 17th, 1945, in Pasco,
Wash., to Joseph V. Sva-
tonsky and Zelda M. Sva-
tonsky (Dehnhoff).
She went home to
be with her lord and
savior on July 3rd,
2015.
She grew up and
attended school in
Kennewick, Wash.
She married Wil- Morton
liam E. Morton on
February 5th, 1973. She
was a longtime Hermiston
resident and the owner of
Menagerie Farms.
She was preceded in
death by her husband, and
parents Joseph Svatonsky,
Zelda Witters and Marilyn
Svatonsky. She is survived
by her parent Hilton Witters;
her siblings Robert (Clyde)
Svatonsky (Gloria), Caro-
lyn Svatonsky-Winnestor-
fer (Ed), Kathy Freeman
(Joel), Fran Allen, Pat Ed-
wards (Mike), Ben (Alan)
Svatonsky (Leora), and
Joe Svatonsky; her steps-
iblings Bruce, Terry, Kathy,
Jeff, Brian, Karen and
Mike; her children Patty
Looman (Scott), Charlotte
White (Matt), Rick Morton
(Misty), Ronda Issel (Roy),
and Ronald Morton; her
stepchildren Robert, Don-
na, Billie-Jo and James;
her grandchildren Jenni-
fer, Robert, Tiffany, Allie,
Robin, Andrew, Nerissa,
Brittany, Andrea, Taylor,
Sophia, Alexis and Dom-
inick, and two honorary
granddaughters Summer
and Shantia; great-grand-
children Anthony, Mallory,
Dominic, Kaden, Isabelle
and Arianah, and four hon-
orary great-granddaughters
Aurora, Juliet, Adelina and
Josie; two cousins, Jim and
Mary Sichler; and numer-
ous nieces and nephews.
She enjoyed raising her
animals, gardening, cro-
cheting blankets, collecting
dolls, dancing, listening to
records, and going out to
eat Chinese with her
family and friends.
She also loved her
various charities in-
cluding St. Labre
Indian School, The
Girls & Boys Town,
St. Joseph Indian
School, and Easter
Seals.
She was so compassion-
ate and cared for anyone,
young or old, that hap-
pened to cross her path that
needed a hot meal, a mom,
a friend, some encour-
agement or the sharing of
God’s word. Some of these
individuals stayed for a
day, some stayed for years.
If someone came in about
dinner time her saying was,
“We always have room for
one more.” She has become
Mom and Grandma to so
many over the years, lov-
ing every one of them, and
many of them have had the
pleasure of being gifted one
of her beautiful crocheted
blankets. She has always
taken great joy and comfort
in her family. She loved be-
ing in the middle of a large
family gathering surround-
ed by her family, kids,
grandkids, and great-grand-
kids, having the time of her
life. She was loved by so
many and will be missed by
many who thought of her
with such love and admira-
tion.
A celebration of her life
will be on Aug. 17th at 12
p.m. at West Park, McNary
Dam, Umatilla, Ore.

on June 8, 2010, in Rich-
land, Washington. He died
on July 11, 2015, at
home in Hermiston,
Oregon, at the age of
5 years.
Carsyn enjoyed
playing with his sis-
ter and listening to
her voice, playing
with balls, talking, Culp
rocking in his chair,
going on bike rides, going
on walks and for car rides.
He is survived by his
parents, Derek and Aub-
bree; twin sister Camiryn;
grandparents Gary and Vic-
ki Culp, Dave Padilla and
Marie Fraser; great-grand-
parents Sharon and Pat Bu-
chanan, and Nancy Padilla;
uncle Dustin Culp; aunts
Kallee and Kynzee Padilla;
cousin Gaige Padilla;
and numerous great-
aunts, great-uncles
and cousins.

Longtime Hermiston resident Leota H. Kortum, 87,
died Saturday, July 11, 2015, in Spokane, Wash. She
was born Dec. 2, 1927, in Hardin, Montana. A cele-
bration of life service will be held Saturday, July 18
at 1 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Hermiston. A
private burial will be held at the Hermiston Cemetery.

Delmer Hug, 83, of Boardman died Wednesday, July 8,
