• A male was reportedly running around the parking lot of
a business on North First Street trying to get into vehicles.
• A male reportedly kicked in the door of a residence on
Northeast Madrona Drive.
• A caller reported a male failed to return a silver 2005
Buick after borrowing it on Southwest 11th Street.
• On Southeast Sixth Street, a caller reported a friend
of her 14-year-old son gave him drugs and took him out of
Oregon.
• A caller reported hearing six gunshots at a residence on
East Jennie Avenue.
• A blue 1996 Mazda Protege was reportedly stolen on
Northeast Sixth Street.
• A caller reported two dogs killed about 20 of her laying
hens on Klaus Road.
• People were reportedly raising roosters for cock ¿ghting
on Sandpiper Lane.
• A burglary was reported at Echo High School on East
Gerone Street.
• A male reportedly shoved a female’s head through glass
and choked her on Wildwood Lane in Umatilla.
WEDNESDAY, MAY 6
• A caller reported a shed on South First Street was bro-
ken into. He said he found his weed-eater in Hodge Park, and
other items were moved to different places on his property.
• Two wallets were reportedly stolen from a vehicle trunk
on Southeast Eighth Street.
• A wallet was reportedly stolen at Butte Park on North-
west Seventh Street.
• Medications were reportedly stolen from a vehicle on
West Elm Avenue.
• An employee of a business on West Elm Avenue report-
ed ¿nding a handgun inside a returned vehicle.
• Money and a cell phone were reportedly stolen from a
business on North First Street.
• A female was reportedly harassed on East Sunset Drive
while traveling home from Hermiston High School.
• A caller reported the “strong odor of raw sewage” on
West Jennie Avenue.
TUESDAY, MAY 5
• A caller reported hearing a single gunshot on Southwest
Debra Court.
• A box of checks were reportedly stolen from a mailbox
on East Hurlburt Avenue.
• A caller reported a male might have been smoking meth-
amphetamine in a business bathroom on North First Street.
• On East Autumn Avenue, a caller reported someone was
calling and texting her daughter from a restricted number and
threatening to kill her.
• A male reportedly assaulted another male on Southwest
Lemmon Lane.
• Two license plates were reportedly stolen from a vehicle
on Southwest 11th Street.
• A male reported assaulted a female on Diagonal Road.

Memorial Day
celebration slated
A Law Enforcement Memorial Day Celebration will
take place at 11 a.m. Friday at Til Taylor Park in Pend-
leton. The public is invited to attend to honor those who
serve and protect local communities. Local law enforce-
ment agencies will participate in a motorcade procession
from Til Taylor Park to the Round Up Grounds following
the ceremony.
The celebration is a way to honor the men and women
who have made the ultimate sacri¿ce through their service
to the community. 1ationally Peace 2f¿cers Memorial
Day occurs May 15 each year during National Law En-
forcement Appreciation Week.
