Venita LaRose DePue of Kennewick, Washington, died after a long illness on February 21, 2015, at the age of 87. Venita was born June 12, 1927, in Union, Oregon, to Lewis and Florence (Harrison) Cross. In 1945 she grad- uated from Union High School. After graduation she be- DePue came a telephone operator in La Grande, Or- egon. On September 25, 1951, she married Don- ald DePue in La Grande, Oregon. They lived in La Grande until 1959 when they moved to Hermiston. She was a homemaker. For many years she worked as a Democratic election su- pervisor and was active in Camp Fire Girls. She was an active patron of the Hermiston Branch of the Umatilla County Library. She enjoyed traveling and traveled to Europe, Canada, and around the United States. She is survived by her children, Cherie Marston (Steven), Kenda Christian and Kaye MaGula; ¿YH JUDQGFKLOGUHQ Priscilla, Art, Tiah, Meagan and Kelli- Jean; and two great-grand- sons. Kevin Ray Morgan, longtime Umatilla Coun- ty resident, was born on December 16, 1965, in La Grande, Oregon. He died on February 11, 2015, in Carlsbad, New Mexico, at the age of 49 years. Kevin was raised and attended schools in Umatilla, Oregon. He gradu- ated from Spartan School of Aeronau- Morgan tics in 1988. Kevin was united in marriage to Janet C. Camp- bell on October 2, 1993, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. They moved to Hermiston, Or- egon, in 1994 where they have lived since. Kevin graduated from BMCC in 2007 with a degree as a registered nurse. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kevin was active volunteer with the Boy Scouts and had served as a hospice volunteered. He enjoyed camping, movies, was an excellent cook, and an advocate for education. He is survived by his wife, Janet Morgan, Herm- iston, Ore.; children Chris- tian Morgan, Utah, and Zachary Morgan, Lanae Washburn and Molly Mor- gan, all of Hermiston, Ore.; sisters Mary Kay Morgan Bork, Pendleton, Ore., Lin- da Morgan Self, Tri Cit- ies, Wash., Tami Rafferty, Prosser, Wash., and Cyndi Prewitt, Hermiston, Ore.; brother Bobby Challis, Hermiston, Ore.; and several aunts, uncles, cous- ins, nieces and neph- ews. Kevin was pre- ceded in death by his Mom and Dad, Joyce and Eugene Chal- lis; a daughter, Bre’Onna Morgan; and his grandpar- ents, Leora and Raymond Hollingsworth.
