• A caller reported a vehicle was stolen on Prindle Loop Road
in Hermiston.
• A package was reportedly stolen from a door step on Che-
nowith Avenue in Umatilla.
JANUARY 17
• A caller reported a suspicious male was walking up her
driveway on Highway 395.
• A caller reported a car was running in a garage on South-
east Crestline Drive.
• A caller reported a male at the Hermiston airport on Airport
Way stated the police dropped him off to meet Amelia Earhart

• A caller reported a male was trying to enter a church on
Southwest Seventh Street.
• A male was reportedly threatening employees at a business

• A caller reported a suspicious male followed a friend to a
residence on Southwest Fourth Street and was looking through
the front window.
• Jewelry and other items were reportedly stolen from a
residence on East Jennie Avenue.
• On West Hermiston Avenue, a caller reported a male stated
he needed help.
• A caller reported someone in a dark-colored pickup was

Judy (Johnson) Shipp
was born Nov. 27th, 1965, in
Hanford, California, to par-
ents James and Pollie Sewell
Johnson. She went home to
be with our Lord on
Tuesday, January 13th,
2015, at the young age
of 49 years, following
a sudden and critical
illness at Kadlec Re-
gional Medical Center
in Richland, Washing-
Shipp
ton.
Judy was raised
in California and later Idaho
Falls, Idaho. She graduated
from Davis High School in
Yakima, Washington, and
then moved to Hermiston,
Oregon. She later graduated
from BMCC with an asso-

agement. Judy was united in
marriage to B. William “Bill”
Shipp on June 18, 2006, in
Hermiston, Oregon.
Judy had worked at Wal
Mart, Ace Hardware and
CAPECO for a time. She was
a member of the First Chris-
tian Church and the rock
hound club, Hermiston, Or-
egon, and former member of
the Eagles and Moose lodg-
es. Judy enjoyed going for
drives, camping, the moun-
tains, gardening, reading,
word searches, Facebook,
and most of all time with her
family. She loved her dogs
Miley and Jake.
Survivors include her
dearly loved husband of nine
years, Bill Shipp of Herm-
iston, Ore.; beloved daugh-
ters Erin Garcia of Hub-
bard, Christina Messenger
of Hermiston, Ore., Stacey
Picker of Pendleton, Ore.,
Destiny Handy of Idaho and
Misty Ash and husband Nate
of Tacoma, Wash. Her three
loving sons are Brad Rattray
of Hermiston, Ore., Bryan
Shipp of Hermiston, Ore.,
and Joe Spence of Gerome,
Idaho. Judy has seven grand-
children that she loved and
cherished: Jacob, Chloe,
Kristin, Donnavan, Siannon,
Landon and Payton.
Judy was preceded in
death by her mother and step-
dad, Pollie and Fred
Kile; her dad, James
Johnson; and a neph-
ew, James Simpson.
Judy will always be
the shining light of our
family. She has gone
home to be with our
Lord and will be wait-
ing there for those of
us that put our faith in Christ
as our redeemer. Thank you
for your prayers on her be-
half. God has answered
those prayers with His best,
and most beautiful reward:
HEAVEN. Please continue
to pray for our family as we
adjust to living without her
physical presence. As a child,

same qualities brought her
many friends. She was a lead-
