This is just one of many safety measures established
by Union Pacific to assure reliable transportation
of passengers and freight. War resulted in a tre

Through constant vigilance and tireless effort on
the part of employes, thousands of men and train
loads of materials have been moved efficiently and
quickly to aid the Allied cause.
The constant improvements in railroading, resulting
in safe, efficient transportation, are due in large
measure to the American system of encouraging
workers to seek advancement through personal
enterprise and initiative. We're fighting and
working to maintain that spirit of equal oppor
tunity for all.
