Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Hodge and Mrs.
A. L. Haynes made a business trip to
Walla Walla Tuesday.
Mrs. Lettie Mitchell and grand­
daughter Ruth Garrison of Dayton
were visitors last week at the Lester
Hammer home. Mrs. Mitchell is a
sister of Mr. Hammer.
Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lamon of Uma­
tilla and his mother. Mrs. Edith La­
mon of Portland were dinner guests
last Thursday at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. L. Hammer. Mrs. Lamon and
Mrs. Hammer are cousins.
Donny Wilson had the misfortune
to get a sliver of steel in his eye last
week. Although it was removed at
once by a local physician the injury
was of such a nature that he was tak-
en to a specialist in Pendleton Tues­
day for further treatment and will be
forced to remain out of school for a
while.
