Notice is hereby given that the
State of Oregon, by and through its
State Highway Commission, did, on
the 17th day of May, 1944. file with
the Board of Directors of the West­
land Irrigation District, a Petition,
praying that the following described
lands in Umatilla County, State of
Oregon, be excluded from the bounda­
ries of the Westland Irrigation Dis­
trict, to-wit:
A parcel of land lying in the
Southeast quarter ( SE 1 ) of
Section 34, Twp, 4 North, Range
28 East, W. M., Umatilla County,
Oregon: the said parcel being
described as follows: All of the
Northwest quarter (NWY) of
the Southeast quarter ( SE 1 )
and the West 30 rods of the
Northeast quarter (NE 1 ) of the
Southeast quarter ( SE 1 ) and
all of the South half of the
Southeast quarter (SE 1 ) of
said Section 34, excepting an ir­
rigation canal right of way of
150 feet in width and approxi­
mately 2100 feet in length as re­
served to the Westland Irrigation
District in a deed recorded in
Book 160, Page 503, Umatilla
County Deed Records, containing
a net area of 127.8 acres.
