The show was held Thursday night in the Grange hall. The next show will be Bob Burns in “I Am From Missouri" on Saturday, December 26. It will be followed by a social to which everyone is to bring either cake or sandwiches. Shoppers in Pendleton Thursday were I. Skoubo, Effie Bullack. Mar garet Thorpe and Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Brandon. Friday night was a basketball game on the local floor against Echo. The Boardman Yellowjackets were defeat ed by one point after a very hard fought game. Mr. and Mrs. Francis Harter and family spent Saturday in Pendleton shopping. Mrs. Laverne Partlow entertained the faculty at her home Sunday night with a waffle dinner. Games were played and gifts were exchanged. Friday afternoon the Ladies Aid finance committee entertained the oth er members of the Ladies Aid with a Christmas party. OREGON Nick Faler spent a few days in Boardman on business this week. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thorpe left for Portland Monday on a business trip. Grange met Saturday night with a regular business meeting. A pot luck dinner was held before the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Brooks of Her- miston spent the week end at the Earl Briggs home. Mrs. Ed Barlow and children are spending a few days at home. Rotary Entertains Football Squad (From the Bulldog) Members of the Hermiston football team were guests of the Hermiston Rotary club at a banquet held at the high school last Thursday night. A delicious duck dinner was served by the Rebekah lodge. Special guest of the evening was Captain Herbert K. Iverson who spoke briefly as did various members of the Rotary club, Mr. Davison, and a few members of the team. Football players present included: Bob Alford, Jack Rodgers, Erwin Null, Dean Scott, Dick Belt, Dick Kingsley, Frank Harkenrider, Bob Greer, Tom Todd, Jack Belt, Bruce Norton. Bill Schoonover, Ken John son, Sylvan Mullins, Bob Attebury, Vance Matott, Lloyd Hughes, Clay ton Buell, Bob Jensen, David Pier son and Jim Rugg. For various rea sons. other members of the team were unable to attend. Rotarians present were: W. W. Felthouse. Dr. W. L. Morgan, Walter Pearson, George Harkenrider, Leander Quiring and Mr. Kersbergen. Entertainment included a vocal solo by Betty Jean Eldridge, a violin solo by Hope Reynolds, a reading by Opal Null and a piano solo by Jack Jackson.
