B. Wilcox. Sonny | Fredrickson, who has spent the past I month here, returned home with them. Miss Rebecca Pierson was a Tues day night guest at the home of Mrs. I Dell Christley. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Woodward and children and Mrs. Sherman Wells re turned Friday inight from Tacoma and Seattle where they visited Har old (Manny) Woodward, who is sta tioned there with the coast artillery. An incident of probable interest to some Columbia neighbors occurred while parked on a busy Tacoma street. A lady passer-by stepped to the car and remarked that she had noticed the Hermiston name plate and could not resist speaking as she had once lived at Hermiston, teach ing in the Columbia school. Her name— Ethel Graham Hazen, and while teaching here (1919-1921) she stayed with her folks who lived for a number of years on the old Wau- gaman place. Mrs. Hazen asked that we convey her greetings to any of her old friends who might still be here. She also gave news of her brother Bill Graham, reporting that he now has a large dairy cattle ranch on the Olympic Peninsula. Pat Hatch was a dinner guest last Saturday evening at the Caldwell home.
